Hi Mani, They had a school in Vasant vihar by name of laurel public school.same is getting shifted in Brahmand. They are upgrading the school to international level by including extra activities. Teachers review from old parents is good. And same staff is continuing. They are following CBSE curriculum and mix of CCE. I have liked their seperation of academic and extra curricular timings. Monday to Friday mainly academic subjects. And saturday proper timing for extra activities. I have enrolled my kid this year for std 2. Let me know if u need more info. Construction will be completed by mid march.

Hi Mani, i have also taken admission in Rainbow Intl for my son for 5th std.. school seems good and promising. student teacher ratio is 35:2 Adopting advanced technology & International STDs. All co curriculum activities wil be conducted on Saturday's 8am to 6pm and every child can participate in any sport. No restrictions. Monday to friday only academics 8 am to 1pm. Rainbow pre school review is also good. School is going to start on 4th april so they have promised that construction will be cmpleted by end of March. We visited many schools personally, and finally enrolled in Rainbow.

Hi kdkc & Soham,

Thank for sharing reviews of Rainbow school. we are also planning to move  to Thane from Bangalore  by end of march. And looking for my daughter's admission in std 2. As of now we are thinking for two schools rustomjee and lodha. However based on your recommendation, we are rethinking our decision. Do you have any idea about rustomjee. any comparative view from rainbow. we have no constrain of board(any CBSE or ICSE).
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Dr. Ashish, its bettet to visit schools personally, have a look on infrastructure, staff etc. area where you are locating and how far is school, that is also an important factor.

Hi Ashish, i have visited Rustomji school, they have just started in this location with 10 storage building, 45 k admission fees + around 75 K towards term fees etc. for 1st standard, walkable from vrindavan society, they follow IGCSE pattern, school timing 12.45 to 5.30 for primary classes.

Thanks Soham,

Thanks Mani,

So did you go further for Rustomjee or already taken admission somewhere else. If yes, any reason to drop out rustomjee?

manikandan80 2016-03-01 19:27:29

i yet to take admission, Orchid is good in academic but only thing with infrastructure, the reason i have dropped Orchid because of the school timing, seeking admission to the school which operates in the morning time

Just as an information, orchid most activities are performed on terrace similar to billabong. They have fencing but still risky.

Soham2016 2016-03-01 22:50:27

Hi. That's trure. Orchids infrastructure is not at all good. Academic wise good school. Ground floor is commercial, many shops are there. Canteen is at basement and in open place, not at all hygienic. Students have choice to select only 2 sports. All sports activities are conducted during school hours. Timing 8 am to 3 pm. Infrastructure is not in accordance to fees. Yrly fees 107000 excluding transport, books and uniform. Terrace is still under maintenance.

Soham hi!,

Is the extra curricular- 8 am to 6 pm? That means kids have a 6 days a week school?

How do they call kids for extra curricular? Sport wise different timings are allocated or entire day they have to be stationed in school?

Your daughter is in grade 2 -can you tell me how much home work do they get back? is project work done at school or home? is swimming a part of their extra curricular on saturdays or Mon-Fri? thanks in advance!

Soham2016 2016-11-23 14:26:34

@PM739 My son is in 5th std. There is no burden of home work. They upload worksheets on parentportal for all subjects. We need to refer those sheets for exams. Mon to fri timing is 8 am to 1 pm. No extra curricular activities are conducted during weekdays except club activities. All co curricular activities are conducted on saturdays. as of now timing is 8 to 12.30 on saturdays. From dec.they will allot timings as per the sports chosen. No need to allocate kids whole day in a school.Swimming is also part of extra curricular. Swimming, skating football, basketball, cricket etc. My son has chosen swimming and skating.

pm739 2016-11-23 16:17:32

Soham,

So they can choose only 2 sports right?
