Can you please advise about Orchid International School, Thane ....
I need to know if the infrastructure is complete, does the school hold CBSE affiliation, what all extra curricular activities are there for the kids, what is the student/teacher ratio, experience with management/teachers, teaching mode e-learning, fee structure.
I am looking for admission of my Kid in Std II next year. Please advise your reviews on other CBSE schools in Thane as well....
I have spoken to Lokpuram, DAV, Nalanda & New Horizon, have got mixed reviews.
As per my knowledge orchid international - Thane is not CBSE school. It is planning to get affiliation to IGCSE .But has integrated curriculum. All schools get affiliation only one year prior to the first batch passing out 10th std.So the school is currently not affiliated to any board. If you are trying for CBSE schools there are a lot on Ghodbunder road but all are in initial stage or struggling stage means lot of issues at all levels so would suggest you try for some reputed and old schools like DAV or Lokpuram. If you think that by the time your child reaches 10th new schools will be settled then its purely your choice. Best wishes for successful school life for your child.
Thanks for the mail. Yeah, u r right Orchid doesn't hold any affiliation and have integrated curriculum.
I have spoken to DAV, Lok Puram & Nalanda - Forms will be out next year and admissions to std II will be based on vacancy.
Can u suggest about ICSE/IGCSE Schools :
Hiranandani - When do they give admission forms and probability of getting a seat?
We visited orchids school. Personally I didn't like the school. They have converted a mall into a school, only two divisions for each standard. No feel of a school at all. Pathetic turf playground. And small silly swimming pool. In the terrace they have arranged for cricket and football and kabbadi activities.
To top it all the school fees is exorbitantly high and the counsellor is very proudly saying they are not taking donation and admission fee.
My advice pls do not go for this school.
Since my kids are in Rustomjee Cambridge Thane , I would recommend u Rustomjee Cambridge as one of options. Even Hiranandani has very good feedback.
We are planning to relocate in Thane by March 2015. Our priority is to live walk able distance from my daughter's future school. This sorted out two schools, 'Hiranandani' & 'Rustomjee'. Can you please share your recommendation for Rustomjee from 2nd std perspective. (Also for Hiranandani if have idea).
Thank you in advance.
Both are very good options .No doubt in terms of experience and quality Hiranandani has upper hand than Rustomjee for the Moment. From this gtoup itself I came to know they are offering seats for outsiders who doesn't own flat at Hiranandani.I am not sure if its applicable for standards other than 1st and below.
Would strongly suggest choose school which is nearby., it saves cost and time to play for kids.
Actually I am confused to suggest between two options , as i am quite confident Rustomjee Cambridge will be at par with Hiranandanis in not more than 3 years.Rustomjee provides great exposure in terms of external agencies and people such as NASA and scientists.
One more thing Hiranandani will have less fees compared to Rustomjee . Though admission at Rustomjee will be almost guranteed as new school , Hiranandani not sure.
If you need specifics about Rustomjee do letme know.Hiranandani feedback I am sharing as per feedback of my friend.
Brst wishes for yout kids.
Thank you Papa2pareshan,
