I am standing at a point where I have to make a choice between:
I stay in Viman Nagar, and financially can afford upto 50,000/- per year for a school that's really worth.
My daughter will be shifting from Std V to Std VI in the new school, and from SSC to any other board depending on the school I select.
From your above three choices , i would choose Vikhe patil followed by lexicon and Amansetu.
Definitely Amansetu is a great school and is propelled by a different innovative idea.. but only after years can we tell abt how successful such a concept is ...Especially in today's competitive world....so i wouldnt take risk as of now...
Vikhe patil , SB road is a very good school and tough to get admissions. The one in lohegaon is a new one. and not as good as the SB road VPMS. But still the management is trying to bring that school also upto standard.( so i heard...)
Lexicon is not that great with academics and is Ok-Ok .
Also please enquire abt the following schools coz i beleive if you can get an admission in one of the below, It would be better than the above choices...I am not from ur vicinity so please travel to one of these schools and see the distance and meet the teachers there before u take a decision.
1. Delhi Public School ( CBSE)
2. St marys ( ICSE)
3. Bishops (ICSE)
4. St helena's (ICSE)
5. St .Arnold's (CBSE--please confirm)
Finally it should be you who should take a decision, So chart out what all u find missing in the current school and syllabus and then try to visit the schools and personally take a decision . Also since ur daughter is moving to 6th std , there wud be diffrence in the standard and syallabus for both CBSE and ICSE boards . If possible please get the cbse and icse books for std 6 and compare with the SSC one and initialy it will be required to minimize the gap . You can help her with that once u fix the school.
ALL THE BEST...
Aman Setu is a fabulous school. Yes it's new but is headed by a principal who has 20 yrs plus experience and the rest of the team also has a lot of teaching experience.
However iI don't think it's an option for you because the school is currently only till the 4th and in the coming academic year will add one more year i.e. 5th grade.
