Starting this thread to discuss with people staying in Kothrud/Karvenagar/Warje area.
I am currently searching for schools in vicinity of Warje/Kothrud area for my kid who currently is in playschool. Options i have shortlisted are -
1) Seva sadan - Have heard good reviews of this school. Contacted school and they said admission procedure will start in December end. 2) Millenium - Have heard mixed reviews. 3) Walnut - Have heard mostly good reviews. 4) Balshikshan - Have heard good reviews. But i guess getting admission is difficult here. 5) Matoshree - This is in Warje and my kid is currently in Playgroup here. School is good but not yet established. So i am sceptical. Anyone having any idea of above schools? Or some more options or info. Lets discuss.
It is CBSE school near Eklavya College...Fees are moderate and education wise I have received good reviews but the only thing is infrastructure is not that impressive as compared to schools like millennium/ Sanskriti or vibgyor.
People in this area also consider Vikhe patil schoo as one of the options. If you stay at Warje, Pawar public school in Nanded city is also reachable. This is also a good school. People must be aware of the Pawar's hadpsar branch and its reputation. If one is ready to travel a bit from Warje, DSK school at DSK vishwa is also a good school.
Hi parag
We are also shifting to pune from nagpur..we are searching schools near kothrud area..the schools u have listed r they all CBSE schools.?. I have 2 kids younger one will go to nursery n elder one to senior kg...what is age limit for senior kg?
Thanks gayatri
As far as i know. most of the schools follow CBSE curriculum till class 8th standard. 9th and 10th is state board. For Bal Shikshan, this is the case. For Karnataka high school (Erandwane) from this year onwards, it will be fully CBSE.
I am hearing that most of the Kothrud schools have got CBSE approvals and til the time our kids go to class 1, all these schools will fully follow a CBSE curriculum. Also generally speaking, with growing demand for CBSE, all these schools should fully turn CBSE in future till our kids go to Standard 1. However things will be clear once we get the admission forms.
I don't know about the curriculum that New India follows but it is also a good school. You can surely try for it. Actually its a bit far from my home so i am not that much keen. But its a good school as per my knowledge.
only two things its too far and road is not good and second is personally I feel uniform is very of outdated fashion...salwar khamez for girls and kurta for boys :-(
Sanskriti is a good school. The fees are very high i heard. I am not trying because i dont prefer sending my kid to a school more than 5 km away. I guess everybody must be of that opinion. Atleast the nursery/mini-kg level, its not a good idea to make children travel too much. Although the nursery/mini-kg of sanskriti is in Bavdhan and not Bhukum.
Thank u swati and parag for the information abt sanskriti school...I want to know whether schools are very strict regarding age criteria? If child age is falling short by 20 days then there is no other option but to repeat the previous class?
@ parag I know few parents from Paranjape School kothrud,,,they are happy with school but i think they dont have huge play ground and its SSC board school. But overall i have received good reviews . No direct reviews about BSM and Seva Sadan But r u looking for SSC board?
Thanks Swati, No. These schools are State Board but many of them follow a mixed curriculum. Also going forward, they will turn to CBSE due to growing demand for CBSE. Bal Shikshan follows CBSE uptil Class 8 and 9th 10th is State Board. They say that way that children are stress free as far as marks/studies is concerned. But i have heard from many that Seva Sadan is going to convert to CBSE soon. Although this can be clear once forms are out. But even above all this, curriculum is not the only criteria for me. I am ok with a good SSC board school as well. I myself have passed out from state board and dont think that state board guys lag CBSE in any way.
