I think that should be fine. Even last time when I went there, I too asked the same question, they said as per policy we cannot tell you the number of admissions.
But in fact, the reason behind my question was exactly opposite of what she was thinking. I actually want less students in the class so that my son will get better attention. I will be happier if the number of kids in mont 1 is 20 or less as against 30.
And one can't expect more students in the 1st year of any institute that too away from the main city area.
Hey that's the great news.. Let's catch up on orientation day.. In fact all of us.. :)
I am not too sure about the higher grades, but they do seem to have ample admissions in grade 1 and lower.
i know of one confirmed admission in grade 5, but thats it.
Any ideA as to when is the orientation?
No. They are going to email or message us about the same.
Just had a conversation with principal mam ,she said the no. of admission in grade 5,6 and 7 are more than double digit but as per policy can not tell exact no.of admissions.thats a good news..I think I will confirm admission for grade 5 in one or two days..what u all say ?pls share what u think on same....
@vedshree.. Ultimately its marketing gimmick.. Psychologically person in front of you becomes positive about the school if you hear the number of admissions exceeding double digit.. N applying same tactic to everyone will ultimately make the number reach 3 digits.. N those who have taken admission prior to you is not more knowledgeable than you.. So you have to ultimately take the chance, follow your gut feeling.. N take the decision.. All the best :)
@Varada even I am concerned about the electricity tower that is there in the premises.:(
@pal78 thanks...ya finally I have to follow my gut feeling....
I had asked about the tower when I visited the school...the principal said it's definitely within the safely norms...also regarding the entrance , she said it would be through the aditya nisarg gate.
Rest I agree with the rest...when they say that we have to go with our gut feeling regarding the school...having less kids or more in a class...both ways has its pros and cons.
Since we have enrolled our kids there...we should be positive and show some faith...and lets take it from there.
Just that whatever updates we gets...let's just share it on this forum so that we can have a united front when we finally go for the orientation.
Yeah.. Right.. Actually I am getting so excited about this school as if I am the one who is getting enrolled..maybe because this is my son's 1st year in school.. I will do anything to make it a success.. :)
Just heard from one of the parents that there are 50 confirmed admissions for class 1 & they have last 10 seats remaining...that's what the principal told one of my friends yesterday when she visited.
So will there be 2 classes for standard 1? 30-30 each? or for all the divisions??
1 more concern I had is - Principal told us that they have 1 teacher behind 30 students in Mont1.. dont you think so that there should be 2 teachers for pre-primary school behind 30 kids??
Even in Abhinav school or any other local school have 2 teachers for 30 kids for pre-primary.
1 teacher for 30 kids in class 1 is ok...but for lower classes I feel there should be 2 teachers.
A quick question...is the class strength going to be 30 even for the pre school section or is it lower?
Thats what.. When we were having conversation with the principal.. She said that we have very good student teacher ratio.. So I thought it might be 30:2.. Or 20:1..etc but she said that its 30:1.. Which is quite high.. Its difficult to handle so many kids by a single person. If she gets too frustrated she may pour her anger at kids.. So a bit worried..
The teacher getting angry is the least of your concern...when the kids are small...as in 2 years old and all...it's difficult to handle them and for one teacher to do that..is not easy at all...how will she pay attention to all the kids..and younger kids need a lot more attention ya..
I think we should strongly address this issue at the orientation.
Even my kid's preschool had a student teacher ratio of 20:2 for pre nursery and nursery. Then it was 20:1 for Kg 1 & Kg2.
@priea agree .we should address it strongly at the orientation
@Priea - I am not concerned with teacher getting angry.. its consequences will be harmful.. obviously.. handling so many small ones by 1 teacher is going to make her really tired and frustrated n tht will result in tkaing out tht frustration on kids only.. this has happened in Millenium national school.. 1 of my relatives was a teacher there long time back..
thts why I am worried..
Yes.. we will talk about this in Orientation..
Any idea about orientation?
@pal78 ...I never said anything about the teacher getting angry or anything...it's just that to have a good nurturing and healthy environment...there needs to be ample attention paid to little ones.
If the teacher is unable to give proper attention to all the kids..the tiny ones get mixed signals about how to behave in school...and their learning also gets affected.
I think actual learning starts from 1st standard onwards.. For preprimary stage.. Just good environment is enough.. I think in pre-primary, kids learn more outside school environment.. It's just that He should feel homely while in school .. Which will happen if teachers mood is stable n calm.. Which won't happen with this teacher student ratio..
Anyways.. Finally we want the same thing.. :)
