I have just taken admission for my daughter in Class 1 in Ryan International School .
Just starting this discussion so that I can get in touch with other parents who have taken admissions for their kids in the school.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys...so that we can have a common forum for discussions regarding the school.
I am sure many of us have concerns and doubts since it is a new school in Pune...
I am very happy with what I have seen and heard so far..so looking forward to hearing your views.
Plz update me fee structure if possible....
It's 25k Registration..one time and non refundable...and the 22k each for 3 terms (total 66k annual)
I m also luking for school for Sr.kg for my son, i also heard lot of good things abt dis school..kindly let me know school timings n how u find it
I was actually luking for CBSE board but failed to find gud one in wakad nearby area so thinking for ICSE
When you start with the school, do update us about the good & bad things you find. Especially, the quality of teaching, transport, extra curricular activities taken and if u face any nuisance of the ongoing construction activity.
Overall, it a good school & has good repute in other cities. But since its too new in Pune, we did not opt for it this year
Yeah...it's too soon to speak about the details since the school starts only in June...but so far we like what we see. The timings for class one is 8am-2pm...for lower classes it's from 8am-12pm.
They have their own school buses so hoping transport will be smooth.
I am looking for a good school for my kid in std 4, preferably ICSE / CBSE.
RIS fees is bit on higher side.
Please let me know your views about Vidya Valley (Sus), Wisdom World (Wakad), Vikhe Patil (SB Rd), Orchid (Baner), Spicer (Aundh) and Gurukul (Ashok Nagar).
If not RIS which wud you opt for and why?
I have also taken my son's admission in Ryan International School in Mont 1 i.e. Mini KG.
Frankly speaking, I really did not know even name of this school. Since, my son's name was not getting listed in any school, I searched on internet for list of schools in Pune and found this school located at Bavdhan and thought that lets try this. So filled the registration form and then got the call from school itself. After school visit, I got to know that it is their first year and so giving admission on 1st come 1st serve manner.
We gave it a thought over this - though this is their first year, my son is just in Mini KG so there was no question of how the teachers teach and all. We decided to take admission and through other parents reviews, we will decide whether to continue next year or not.
Anyways, I liked Principal and the way she presented herself (as compared to the staff in Gurukul who was full of attitude).
So, I am hopeful that she will manage the school really well. Lets hope for the best.
For transport, I am still thinking as my son is in Mini KG and he sleeps while in car/bus, so not sure how well they manager kids while traveling, as he may fall down in sleep if attendant ignore him. I am looking out for car pooling though so that a driver can be hired who will drive with 2-3 kids to and fro school accompanying by some elder.
I have also taken admission for my Son in Class 1 in Ryan International School pune
Hello All, I have also taken admission of my daughter in J.kg...I have personally visited other schools (Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Gurukul, E-millennium). I stay in Bavdhan so found the fees is also ok as compare to other schools amd most important is the distance which really matters a lot. I am also still waiting for update on Transport.
Thats great.. I live on Law College road.. n if I come directly from my place to the school by car, it takes 20 min max to reach there.. so I didnt bother about the distance.. but of course .. if bus transportation is considered, they will be having some diff route due to which he may have to leave home earlier.. so half an hr early is okay for me.. if it takes more than tht.. I will consider driver..
I think since its a 1st yr.. they will perform quite well.. thr is tough competition in Pune since it is an education hub..
so fingers crossed .. :)
btw.. did anybody of you enquired about the meals in school?? are they going to provide it in school?? since in general.. in all the other schools in Pune.. atleast 1 meal is provided by school.. I forgot to ask only this question in my last visit..
Have seen the play ground of school? how big it is? how much importance to sport is given?
This school is still under construction. Last I visited was in month of Jan2012. Yes they have small play area outside and inside the school, they also have basketball court and play ground too. I am planning to visit the school again by 15 march.
The playground area is still under construction.
They have shown us an indoor swimming pool on the ground floor. Total area of school is 4 acres including building. (As per CEO of school)
I visited the school on 1st March i.e. on Saturday and I happen to see its progress everyday since my bus route to Hinjewadi is by highway.
They have applied initial white paint to entire building and put up the school name board on it.
What I think is, since Pune is an education hub, they will have to perform to be in the market.. almost every school in Pune performs excellent with some minor issues which is of course there everywhere..
n whatever bad reviews from Mumbai center is.. I guess about teachers it is like they leave school due to less salary n so school condition is always unstable.. n ultimately Mumbai is famous for its money making potential.. unlike Pune..
So.. teachers must be good.. if they are getting paid well.. they will perform well..
What my gut feeling is - Every city has its aura.. Every School in Pune is and will always perform well.. with some 10% above or below.. its just .. what type of school you want.. based on that your decision changes.. I wanted cosmo culture and command over english for my son.. so I wanted either convent or international school.. n Ryan seems to fit the bill.. :)
But again this is my gut feeling n overall observation..
Yes I totally agree with both of you. Every school have positive and negative reviews, but what I think and hope is that...Ryan will perform good in Pune. I too want my daughter to develop good communication and fluency in English...which is expected only from a Convent school..but most of the convent schools like St. Joseph Pashan still have SSC board pattern. If you think of the competition nowadays and where you want to see your child after few years?...then Ryan is very good option.
We visited Ryan in Jan 2014 1st week & then they told us that all the teachers will be new & recruited in March - April 2014.
Ryan as a brand has a very good name in Bangalore & a relative's daughter goes to the Bangalore school & they are very happy.
However, even I have heard negative reviews about Ryan Mumbai......
Infrastructure wise I am sure Ryan will live upto its brand. So I think the school can be labelled good or bad only after a couple of years coz barring aside the brand which would definitely try their best to establish a name in Pune, the teachers & Pune team which will actually run the school will be the prime most deciding factor.
Pls do keep posting your first hand review once the school starts.
How is Pawar public school Hinjewadi compared to Ryan international school? This is school is also relatively new and on visit, didn't find many students attending schools and was wondering whether they'll get teachers who're willing to travel so long distance.
There are about 5 of us who have taken admission for our kids in class 1..in Ryan..so it would be good for us to be in touch so that the transition to a new school is smoother for us as well as the kids.
As for the meals..they are not provided in school.kids will have to carry 2 tiffins from home for the 2 breaks they have.
Rest ..waiting to hear from the school regarding transportation.
,Even we are waiting for transportation update from school ....And yes we will definitely be in touch ...
Where do you stay Sehar?we are in Model Colony Shivaji Nagar
I want to take admissionfor my son in Ryan for grade 5 .what do u think pls give me ur opinion
I am seeking admission in grade 4. Please share your opinion.
@CHAKU5 I visited the school twice . I ASKED THEM ABOUT HOW MANY ADMISSIONS U HAVE GOT IN UPPERGRADES.They are not telling it exactly but said a good no of admissions. As school is new not sure how many students they will get in 4th grade or 5th grade .atleast min 15 students should be there is what i think ..so i m waiting to take admission for grade 5 till april end.
