Even I would be interested to know about Indus International.

The campus & facilities are too good. But being IB board, its really costly.

They charge around 2 lakhs per annum for KG; around 4 lakhs per annum for 1st to 4th std & about 6 lakhs per annum for 5th std & above.

Is IB board worth spending so much? I mean if it really is exclusive, then we ready to pay but still not sure about it. If you have any study done in this regard then please let us know.

According to me Sanskriti, Vikhe Patil(CBSE), Vidya Valley, Wisdom World, Spicer(ICSE) and Loyola, St Joseph's, Symbiosis( SSC) are one of the best schools.

You can choose based on your board preference and distance from your home. However applying in 3-4 schools makes sense as it is not very easy to seek admission in these.

Indus International is certainly a good school.

I personally had never preferred IB Board as I believe these are meant for students who are required to travel abroad frequently due to their parent's career. How much IB board is detail oriented is not known. The students making it to the top institutes in India are majorly from CBSE or ICSE board.

We are staying in Balewadi and currently Our daughter is in Jr. KG. We are looking for School for 1 Std Onwards either with CBSE or ICSE board. Options are Gurukul, Akshara, Indira, Blue ridge & Vibgyor What’s your opinion on these Or Should you recommend anything else other than these.

It’s really confusing to select one of them. Also every school is having fees more than Engineering colleges.

Pumpkin Patch etc...

WWS is the closest though! I reside at Park Street)

but my criteria here is not putting my 2 yr. old daughter in a school thts till std. 10th cos i know i might relocate to Mumbai after a few years.. so a school upto UKG wud also do... but it has to have a good curriculum...

Frankly of all the schools i visited... i quite liked Serra International in aundh..

any reviews about it??? i was impressed with their classroom set up and curriculum ( as i have been a preschool teacher and a curriculum planner in the past)

Leapbridge also looked quite good... but its new so i dont think wud have a structured curriculum

Pumpkin patch looked ok but admissions are full for december batch this year!

Now the point is WWS is the closest to my house... but from the reviews i have read and heard... i come to know tht it is a 'TYPICAL SCHOOL SCHOOL' and not like other schools that have come in with better curriculum these days... Having subjects like EVS , ENGLISH for preschoolers sounds scary!!

Though if u think u can correct me on my thoughts for WWS , u r most welcome as i want more clear information about the curriculum in WWS for pre nursery to UKG...

Also want to know the exact age criteria for pre nursery in WWS cos my daughter is 8th dec. 2010 born.. so do they consider children completing 2.6 in may or june?

Any reviews of the other above mentioned schools are also welcome!

@ Dhirajj - Of the options you've mentioned, I feel Gurukul and Indira are good. Gurukul is a day boarding school.

@ Toddler Mom - As 2nd and 3rd choice you can have Blue Ridge, VIBGYOR(ICSE) or Indira National(CBSE). Depends on your board preference.

@ Roze - 2 years ago I was also thinking on your lines. but the truth is in Pune, admissions are mostly done for Nursery or Jr Kg. Waiting till 1st std may not be a wise option according to me. You are right in saying that WWS is a typical school and not like other preschools like Serra or Leapbridge but to me it is ok.Abt age criteria, your child should be 3 years by 30th Sep 2013.

my son is in orchid school baner,SRKG, am very upset with academics and rigidity of management. I would like you to help me deciding school options as i  have decided to change my sons school  AND BOARD from std 1ST  next year .

options for us r not more as our expections r high , we would prefer igcse , which we r not able to find in west pune area, other options for  icse are VIBGYOR balewadi, VIDYA VALLEY sus,last WISDOM kalewadi phata only because of the pricipal. one more daffodil int. school baner (ok , not impressed, but igsce)

i   wish u could help me with above options or any other u may know . pls prefer igsce or else icse

I also visited  VICTORIOUS KIDS KHARADI and m impressed with it, FEES HIGH BUT OK good infra and overall looked very good , but dont know about IB curri and pattern and outcome of it , will it be a better option than igcse or icse.

I would prefer good academics first

Hi Harshita,

If academics is your concern, go for Wisdom World. This is an absolutely academic school with a good blend of extra curricular. Students are well disciplined and fluent in English.

@ Harshita - I have many of my colleagues kids going to VIBGYOR. It is a good school for over all development but I cant say much about the academics.

@ Motherto1 - Blue Ridge isa good school @ Hinjewadi. It has an awesome campus but most teachers including the Principal are new to ICSE curriculum.

@Kajal - Cbse I wud suggest Indira or Sanskriti.

I have heard Wisdom World is good but I am not preferring ICSE board.
