Thanks for the information, Sandeep. Knowing that only 25 students are there in the higher classes definitely puts my mind at rest.

1:25 is the kind of student teacher ratio that is seen in international schools, and I am pleasantly surprised that Sanskriti can maintain that, given that the fees charged are around one third of that charged in any international school.

I am afraid to bring the dreaded F-word in a parents forum, but I wonder if parents deem this critical enough to pay slightly higher fees to maintain this ratio?

Hi Friends,

I shifted to Pune from Ahmedabad and admitted my son in mid-term of nursery section in Sanskriti school for 2010-2011. Me and my wife seen many schools in nearby Kothrud area and then short-listed Sanskriti as I found there staff and teachers to be very cool and cooperative.

Also compared to others there fees structure is not so expensive. Just for your information, overall it costs almost 3500/- (including Bus charged) per month for pre-primary and 5500/- for primary classes. There is also non-refundable 20000/- and refundable 20000/- deposits.

May be this information helpful to all parents seeking best school for their childs.

Hi nmohite,

Hi Every one,

We are about to shift our kids to Pune from Delhi. They are presently studying in international standard school at delhi in std 6 and 2.

We have visited and shortlisted, Wisdom World School and Sanskriti looking at ambience, vibes and infrastructure of the school....

this help is required from parents of these schools to appraise us on the quality of Education and Co_curricialr activties about these schools.

You may appreciate that it is the important decison to choose right school for kids. hence we requuire inputs on: Discipline, quality of teachers, Staff and exposure kids are going to get in these schools.

Please take some time out and write in.

thanks in advance...

 HI All,

I want to enroll my little one in Jr. KG & I am looking for a CBSC School (in Pune nr. Chandani Chawk) which is good in English communication, extra curricular activities, sports & overall developement of a child. Is Sanskriti (Pune) a best fit for this ? How Sanskriti is for Sports Activity ?

 Hi Nanshu

We moved from Hyderabad last year where our daughters were studying in the most reputed intnl school there (Oakridge) and opted for Sanskriti after a thorough and exhausting search!

The reasons we opted for Sanskriti were a) High calibre teachers b) Excellent overall environment (our first observation when we went to the campus was that it seemed like a very happy place and to this day I think that is its biggest strength where everyone from the teachers to the subordinate staff always seem very cheerful) c) Large campus d) CBSE board. A year down the line we are satisfied on all counts and our elder daughter especially has really transformed where she is more confident, her public speaking skills have improved and she is actively participating in sports. Our younger one missed her old friends for a long time but has finally settled in well too.

To be honest we initially wanted admission in Vidya Valley school (If you are looking for an ICSE board school then that in my opinion is the best bet in Pune and the only option that you should seriously consider) but couldnt get admission there but have had no reason to regret that so far. Dont know much about the Wisdom school as that wasnt on our shortlist so have no positive/negative feedback to provide about it

Hope this helps,Best of luck with the move

Can anyone living in Kothrud area tell briefly about the bus charges they are paying for Sanskriti school, as I think they charge arbritarliy without any calculation of distance, they don't have any fix amount.

My daughter is in Nursery. The Principal is a gem of a person. I had some issues with the transport facility which I directly communicated with the principal. Though the issue was not 100% resolved but my concern was atleast addressed. The teachers are very cooperative and the helper are also very kind. I know my kid is in good hands.

I would like to add that the school transportation facility needs to be really looked into but atleast the school is making some efforts. I hope that by next academic year that transportation would really improve.

I agree with the comments of nmohote regarding staff and overall campus feel. Is anyone interested in starting a carpool from Model Colony?

any one has feedback on DAV schools aundh?

meenas 2011-02-18 13:22:59

Hi guys,

I'm considering Sanskriti for my children. Could someone tell me the cost and time re. transp. from BAner and Bavdhan

kav 2011-02-18 15:07:00

Hi Meena,

It takes about 15-20mts from Bavdhan and 30 mts from Baner.  Cost of transport is little higher.

CPanday 2011-03-21 22:48:50

After the last two three years seems the school has a very high attrition rate.

Every year majority (around 20 out of 30 or so) teachers leave the school. This year one of the teacher even left mid way through the year...

Don’t know reason behind this but this affects study and quality.

mohitag 2011-07-10 10:52:44

Hi friends,

I am looking for some other means of transportation from Kothrud, as I feel school transportation fees is very high.

Parents from nearby areas like Bavdhan, and Warje can also share there ideas regarding it.

Looking to hear more on this.

chicky 2011-08-02 17:17:28

OMG..sanskrity might be good..but where its located over the hills On top..

No ..I was very disappointed to see the location..cant help myself to put my kid there on the hill station.

Expertincn 2011-08-04 12:23:45

 Dear Chicky,

Your disappointment is apparent. The location of the school makes it unaccessible for the parents also. If you have any worries regarding the studies or issues then you have nowhere to go because you can't go that far away and nobody takes you seriously on telephonic conversations. So kids have to suffer.

Personally I believe that school should always be in parents accessiblity so that they can visit the school as and when possible and discuss their issues.

mohitag 2011-08-04 13:49:28

Just for Information !

One nice thing about school is that they invite some well natured low profile celebrities in school. Just read in newspaper that Remo Fernandes visited school last month and had conversations with kids. Before that Kiran Bedi, Biachung Bhutia, Darren Ganga etc had visited school.

chicky 2011-08-12 11:29:28

expertincn:true...I have spend almost 2 months to research for the school..nd was 90% decided to go location is very diaappointing!!!

mohit:wot more important than a safty of ur kid...I think nothing..Pune is considered as Oxford of east..just a research needed..

last week I saw..chess master..vishvnathan anand visit to Almora schoool at hadapsar...........

mohitag 2011-08-13 13:38:20

Hi Chichky,

I agree that nothing come ahead of child's safety but won't say that school location is not accessible, difficult or dangerous.

On avarage parents may have to visit school once or twice in one quarter, distance wise its just 8-9 km from Chandni Chowk (this distance is covered without any traffic) and only last km have uphill drive. If you compare the distance and driving time with other good schools then u will find that to reach the  schools which are within city proximity takes more time because of traffic jams.

chicky 2011-08-15 00:12:52

Mohit: thats very good ..that u have got  a courage to send ur kid there..dont wanna further discourage u by criticising school as its very good in other aspects...

watever ... for me its very difficult to send my kid over there on the hill..quite fearfull to me..cant do

btw..any info regarding other good schools..near warje, baner, wakad, pashan area..will be a great help to me...if U and anybody have info or reviews please share wid me.
