hi thammu,

welcome to group!

coming to yr will depend upon the schools in india and london respectively..kindergarten levels do not have a fixed standard syllabus in india. it differs from state to state and from school to school. u can find more details about UK kindergarten curriculum at

there will be difficulties in adjustment, without doubt, when u shift..u may need to prepare the child for the changes..these changes will not only be in the area of curriculum, but also in peergroup behavior, teacher-student relationship, timings, methodology, exam-patterns etc

Thanks for the info aanchal.

I  think the stress levels will be high in India compared to london.

Do i need to teach him at home side by side with the indian syllabus?

that will only increase his stress level in london!!

have a look at the books used and activities done at kindergarten level in your city here, before you leave for london (if u havent already left). that will help you know if there is something that your child is not taught there. then you can teach that thing at home, using simple methods. also look at the books used and activites done here in class 1. this will help you know if your child is fully prepared (academically) to deal with class 1 syllabus here.. (dont push him too much..he will eventually pick up things)

dont worry so much about it..i am sure your son will cope with the academic differences.

best wishes for london stay..u can keep in touch through mails at
