hi giripragada: i would suggest you ask your kid's pediatrician about it :)

as a general rule, we must consult the doc before giving any new allopathic medicine to the child. it applies for easy drugs like deworming ones, multivitamins, appetisers too. not all medicines are suitable for all kids.

Hi Aanchal,

I sent you a invite.

I dont have access to your blogs unfortunately but love to read your responses here. My daughter is 2 years 2 months old. She is a normal eater but likes to have little bit of many things. She wants lot of variety . her weight is only 10kg which worries me. Actually i put her in day care near my office when she was 1. She adjusted to that atmosphere quickly and became a pet for all there. The area developed very muc hand we started spending arnd an hour in travel due to traffic. Now due to that  we have put her in a near by kidzee branch which is 5 mins from home(to avoid travelling for her). She was quite attached to the teachers and kids so she's finding it again difficult to adjust here.. I totally agree and understand...she's trying her best and is very happy and playful child. I am just worried about her weight. Due to all this stress, she's not able to quite gain a good health. She's very hyper active otherwise

She likes to try out new things, but due to my work, I am not able to try much and when I read so many articles, I get confused. She likes 'namkeen' taste sometimes, but sometimes she likes to eat Jam..

For eg, she loves tomato ketchup but if I give anything to her with ketchup, she ends up eating only that...So if i spread it on the roti, she licks and throws the remaining roti..

yesterday I made aloo parathas at home and made a tiny one for her without chillies. she ate the middle part leaving the hard outsides.. I made her sit when we all were eating. I dint comment anything and left her when she wanted to get up. she was happy...I was happy too that she tried somethign new.

I am giving her a tonic that my doctor gave "Kidicare". She likes to eat bananas, apples, juices and even mangoes. She loves curd and milk. I put 2 scoops of pediasure and half water and half milk. She drinks it. She's very cooperative. I am the one without much innovation. Please advice.

 hi kaselvanayagi,

i saw this thread when i was searching for toddler info...right now im in ur boat..my daughter is 2yr 3 months. 9.5 kg, 75 cm height...she was born 3 kgs. and grew very well till she turned 6 months and then just went off the charts! weve done all kinds of tests..but diagnosed no reason..

she is very active and dont fall sick often (touchwood) but does constant ear itching (got the wax cleaned recently) and is lactose intolerant...

i wanted to know if things improved with ur son? did he catch up on the height n weight? im waiting to see if i should just let her be..is it some phase?

Hi Raj,
His height is ok. Please don't take extreme measures to increase his height. Let him play a lot whatever he wants. His weight is fine, and it matters a lot. Height is more genetic, but when he is 3 year old you can start him with some sports, but not extreme.
