Hi Sri Priya, You need to be bothered if your kid is extremely underweight. If your kid is having immune problem, I suggest you to consult a good Homeopath. There are excellent homeopath medicines for immune build up.

If you are a non-veg, you can give your kid mutton, chicken & eggs(including yolk). Chaybanprah is very good and you can continue the same till 10 to 12 years. If your child catching cold & cough very often, you can consider giving SEPTILIN (Himalaya Drugs). Again the same have to given for a longer period of time.

You can also give Ocimum Santum( Tulsi) - Homeopath Liquid to prevent & control cough & cold.

Regards

Hi

If your child is underweight, it might be tempting to offer high-calorie but unhealthy foods such as sweets, chocolate, cakes, fizzy drinks and fatty fried foods. But a healthy, balanced diet is the key to your child's healthy weight gain.

A healthy, balanced diet for a young child means:

  • Meals that have starchy carbohydrates such as pasta, rice, potatoes.
  • Lean proteins such as lean meat, fish, pulses, beans, and eggs.
  • Three portions of calcium a day. A small glass of milk is one portion, and a matchbox-sized lump of cheese is one portion.
  • Broccoli, cabbage, soya beans and okra are good sources of calcium. White and brown bread is fortified with calcium.
  • Five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
  • Avoid fizzy drinks. Try diluted juice instead, or simply water.
  • Give chocolate, sweets and cake only ocassionally. It’s best to give them at the end of a meal, to help avoid tooth decay.

Increasing calorie intake
There are a few steps you can take to increase your child’s calorie intake while still providing a healthy diet.

  • Bulk up mashed potato by putting milk or cheese in it.
  • Put grated cheese on beans on toast.
  • Milk puddings make a great, balanced pudding.
  • Make soups with milk instead of water.
  • Use other energy-dense foods such as bananas and avocado in meals or as snacks between meals.

I hope u can try this. these r natural ways for better heath n for sure u will find the difference.

Regarding their stomach i did deworm before 5 months.I did not hear anything from my kids about irritation for upcoming teeths. They are premature and LBW twins(1.25 kg and 1.5 kg). Moreover we are vegetarians. But now i have started giving them egg.

Thanks and regards.

Hi

oh ok but accordingly the deworming should b normally done with atleast one dose every 3 months as kids have more sweet food . like milk,or milk added power n so. even chess n all have sugar so i think its better the have one dose again.

other thing upcoming teeth does not show some irritation to kids thats fine but i think u told they often have cold. even these r the symtoms . so do check out . n u know its a traditio if u belive ,better if the mother does not check the childs teeth when they r upcoming. nor visually nor by touching . but now a days no one like to follow in this age . but i did. just like that i dont know how much it works but there was no harm so.

ya n even egg is good for them . i ansure u if u follow the above things i told that to n a good manner i mean daily , u will have good n healthy kids very soon. my frds had a same case n now she has 2 healthy kids .

Hi Sripriya,

  1. I'm giving my [3-5yrs] kid Nutrivita .I once took it to my paediatrician and ask him abt that.He said that it wont have that much effect on kids when compared to that rate. He also told me that it will have the same benefit as any other Indian protein drink [pediasure,soyvita.....]So, I thought to finish it off this time and not to continue it.
