Concern About Child Safety in Schools

Hi All, 

This is a request letter to you and your fellow members of the group for support to a cause highlighting the lack of adequate arrangements for security of our children in schools.

 I would like to draw your attention to the death of a child (Japneet Singh)  on 9th of August 2011 in Delhi (Refer Times of India Reporting Link “ http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/Kid-run-over-by-own-school-bus-in-east-Delhi/articleshow/9544847.cms “). He was my nephew and we are still in shock on what happened to our family due to negligence of a driver and the school authorities we had placed our trust upon to have a better future of our child. The family is still not able to recover from the irreversible loss and tragedy.

We would like to draw attention of the concerned authorities to the inadequacy of arrangements in schools and the transportation system and would like to bring a change in the system so that these kind of avoidable mishaps can be prevented and this does not happen to any other family in India or World.

 For this we would need association and support of organisations as yours and would request you to come forward and support the cause.

 Also if possible would appeal you to bring forward other organisations you may be part of, to the cause and make our society and education system more safe for our loving children.
