I know someone whose son goes there (he is about 5 now) and she is very happy with the school and the teachers. the pressure on kids is low there (at least till class 5/6) and they have a relaxed learning environment. class strength is 40 which is quite high but then thats the case with most bombay schools. She also likes the values that they instill in kids there. Based on her good experiences with AVM bandra west, i have decided to put my son in AVM Juhu!
hi....can anyone help wid feedbak on the playschool in avm ,santacruz..how are they? what are the fees?
My son has been there for last two years - Play School & Prep 1. AVM is a very good school. Focus is on holistic growth. Learning in these two years has been more thru drawing done in school - including learing about concepts, alphabets, etc. Limited home play (homework). Healthy snacks provided by school (included in fee). All the teachers have consistently been good and caring. Strong focus on development of culture - stated principle that if they had to compromise, they would rather compromise on studies rather then culture. 10th standard results have been 100% for last two years - with a majority being distinction or first class. Annual fees is approx Rs 33,000. Bus service available at extra cost. Payment by thru cheque - no donations or any other payment ever asked. I am sure I will send my younger son to AVM also. Hope this helps.
Admissions is around November. AVM terminology is different from other schools - go by the age criteria and not the name. Below are the levels for reference
Other schools level - AVM level
Playschool - Not offered
Nursery - Playschool
Lower KG -Prep 1
Sr. KG - Prep 2.
isthere any restriction on the residentialaddress for admission..we live in goregaon, can i seek admission for my son to nursery in any of the avm?
suddusmom, i think there would be a restriction on the residential address... a better idea would be calling up the school & enquiring from them directly..
