I have got my son admitted to the New horizon scholars school. Even I would like to know the answer to the above question. Parents whose child is going to New Horizon Scholar's school, please share your feedback about the school. Thanks

Both the schools r gud & well managed st New Horizon was started & now New Horizon Scholars is started. Same Mamagement has developed the school New Horizon is already developed & new horizon Scholars is now getting developed so no issues Both schools r the best

airoli 2011-10-16 13:42:17

The acitivities conducted in the school are very good.

chinturu 2011-10-18 22:47:21

i like new horzion public school

airoli 2011-10-23 12:21:41

Both the schools are following CBSE syllabus.New Horizon Public is also good. But New Horizon Scholars School is a better choice.

deepshan79 2011-11-11 15:34:03

I took admission for my child in new horizon scholars nursery. The school is really good. We liked the school.

Can somebody tell me what are the school timings for primary and secondary in this school. I was seeing last year's circulars in the website and the timings given are 7.45 to 2.00 for 1st to 8th std.

I thought that primary had afternoon shift and secondary had morning.

Can somebody confirm this.

navind 2011-11-11 16:53:39

While enquiring over the phone they had said 7.45 to 2 for primary.... not that convenient for my kid i feel...

sushsag 2011-11-11 17:09:02

Hi deepa

Can yu just share fee structure of nursery last year , when you took admission.

means , what was donation and what was annual fees. As This year they make donation 27k & anual fee 30 k., sounds very high.

deepshan79 2011-11-11 17:28:41

@sushsag - I have taken admission for 2012-13. I had gone today to pay the fees. The fee structure for next is 25K admission fee, 15k development fees and 30k is the annual fees.

I liked the school and the staff as well. Are u planning to take admission in this school?

@navind - is this the timing for next year that you enquired?

batsee 2011-11-11 20:27:42

I will be taking admission for my 2 kids in Std 1 & Jr. Kg. Can someone tell me what are the bus fees. Also when does the school start..which month... for std1 &

@deepshan...the fees you have mentioned 15K development fees are they one time or annual fees.

deepshan79 2011-11-11 21:45:22

@batsee - yes the development fees is one time. bus fees depends on where you stay. for my location its coming to about 19k per year.

batsee 2011-11-12 03:34:30

Thanks for the response....I read earlier post too. So if there are 2 vacations...when will the school start for Jr. Kg & 1Std.

Do you know what other activities do they have...I mean other than academics.

navind 2011-11-14 12:30:34

@Deepshan... yeah if i remem it well, wife had told me the mentioned timings for Primary section. guess pre primary  has some other can call up to confirm, they respond quite well.

So 40 K was one time amount u paid... and 30K is the fees... though higher but usual in line with others.... not like Euro or Billabong.... great you are relieved from addmsn task... and NHS is gathering postive reviews day by day...

Prinks25 2011-11-14 14:46:52

at NHS,

27K is one time admission fees (12K admission fees + 15 K developement fee) + 30K Full Year Fees.

Extra - bus, uniform, stationaries.

deepshan79 2011-11-14 15:09:58

@batsee - i dont know much about activities...but some of the parents have told me that the school is very in extra curricular activties as well.

@navind - yes you right....once your child gets admission into a school it is definitely a big relief.

navind 2011-11-14 15:21:17

@Deepshan  :-)

You had mentioned about transport is costing you 19K annual... which area u located in ? mulund or thane? am wondering what would be approx cost of transport for Mulund....

Why thrs diff in amount payable numbers you gave and prinks provided.

your amount total is 25 + 15 + 30 fees= 70k

prinks says 12 + 15 + 30 fees = 57k

@Prinks - how much is the transportatn charge working out  for you? bhandup na?

batsee 2011-11-14 20:31:05

thanks everyone for the reply....

deepshan79 2011-11-15 14:41:33

@navind - m sorry there was an error from my side. The fees is 57K the breakup is 12+15+30 fees. i stay in bhandup, lake road.

navind 2011-11-15 15:04:48

Then its quite good... not much like others.

Guessing how much charges it would be for mulund west... would try to find out.... euroschool takes around 18k and nhps 12k for mulund west...

Prinks25 2011-11-15 15:18:20

@ Navin - as of now they said 1475 per month for Bhandup (I am staying near Sonapur)

batsee 2011-11-16 07:49:29

do they allow private transport. Then it could be cheaper. Rs.1475 seems too high

Prinks25 2011-11-16 08:45:50

@batsee .... I think they allow private transport. When we went to the school last week saw a bunch of students coming by Maruti Van.

I know it is high... but I am not sure about such small children going by private transport !! I will be availing transport facility atleast for next few years...

garfield1 2011-11-16 10:31:12 new to this forum but have gone through the posts...Navin n all are doing a great job here...

I have just taken admission at NHSS for Jr. Kg. The entire process was really smooth. Key reasons for prefering NHSS was Mr. Nicholas's move to NHSS and school timing apart from the CBSE syllabus.

Regarding bus service, I agree with Prinks regarding using school's bus service as it seemed more safer to me than private transport.

Would appreciate if a new group dedicated to parents who have taken admission at NHSS in Jr. Kg. is made for further exchange of ideas and thoughts.

navind 2011-11-16 13:35:26

Hi All,

Agree charges are bit high. but initially school buses are better then may be a switch to trusted private operators... NHPS students pay 975 pm from my area - mulund west apna bazar. need to find out what NHS would be charging.

Web helps all to connect, share, post, form opinions... and so we all are here to help out each other in this imp phase of our and childs life... and key imp point is honest reviews feedbacks and answers... which all the members here are doing wonderfully... so thanks to all...

Heard from a member that NHS is planning to buy an area near school for play ground purpose... hope its true

Also trying to get a detailed review from an old member whose kiddo is now in jrkg at NHS... would help us all now n in future to others too...

 Former member 2011-11-16 16:55:09

Hi All

Even I took Admission this year for nursery. Smooth admission process, hasle free, when compare to its peers NHP ( Lots of Q and enquiry) . I wonder , why there is so much rush at NHP and not in NHS ( even if all Major staff shifted fr.NHP to NHS ) , its 3rd year now of NHS.people still migh be in thinking of OLD IS GOLD theory.

But I has realy bad experince in NHS compare to all its other gud experince. Front face of school, who intracts with parents intialy ( i dont want to take name here, but people knows whos this )are not having manners to talk. Can you belive ,this person is discussing parents salries openly and comparing their salaries & positions with us. this is realy horrible, this seems like institution has over confidence of its money matters.

navind 2011-11-16 17:24:35

@santss98... not at all appreciable ... that too when all positive vibes and feelings are coming from parents about the school...
