How is cambridge school in kandivali (E) , Thakur village

You can try in Gundecha Education Academy at Thakur Village. they have sports from Nursery onwards. its is ranked amongst the good schools of Mumbai.

Gundecha only gives admission to people living in Thakur village.I live in Borivali E . How shld i go about for admission as my son is 2 yr old and i wanna seek admission in nursery next yr.

hi rakhi,not necessary where do u stay in borivali east-bcoz gundecha gives admission to even people there,u just need to follow up-its an excellent school my daught aws ther till jr.kg n now since i am in powai we have s diff school but she still misses her school

I'm Jasmine, a mother of a 2yr old. I reside in Borivli east, close to d highway. I too m considering Gundecha for my child from Nursery i.e. for nxt yr, in 2012. I've heard a lot of +ve responses for dis schl... but cud u provide me wid info on teaching staff, activities done for children (chr), infrastructure, fees etc. In short, pls tell me on wat grounds is dis schl considered good.

Also, i've heard dat d schl give 1st pref to d inhouse children, den chr of Thakur village, den to siblings of chr  in higher classes n so my child does not stand a chance in dat case. Pls guide me as dis schl is1st on my list. But d responses like no chance of getting admn is demotivating me. Also, I'd appreciate guidelines on their admn procedure... as in wen do they issue forms, when does d list come out n so on.

gettng admission in nursury is very diffclt u shd have tried thuis year for playgroup itself,bcoz thy have their own children who go to nursery,well u can still try,the school is very good,study wise as well as activity wise too.They have young teachers for preprimary who really take very good care of your child,they have all the basic infrastructure in the shool campus itself,the admission normally starts in augst/sept,what you can try is this yearonce school starts in julygo n chk if any availblty for playgrp/similarly do that during after diwali vacations,bcoz there have been cases of transfers n a remote case of yr chld gettng admss after diwali.They gve children snacks in school itself by which your chd learns to eat practically everythng n fees wise its around 40 approx for a year.but believe me if yopur chd gets admss once u do not have to worry till 10th.u do

dont u know any frnds whose kids study there bcoz normally they send circulars to thenm for admissions and yes they do gve first choice to the gundecha residence,the siblings n then if seatsleft to other outsiders.I know how u must be feeling about the admission blues,where in borivali east are u.other options u could try is rustomji in dahisar

dear i m looking for a good schl in kandivali any hw i m shiftting this yr to mumbai frm dubai n hv no idea abt schools my kids r studing in grade 2,3 presently in cbse cirriclar one of the best school in dubai called Millenium school, n too confused from whr to start can they get admissions for the yr 2011-2012 ??? pls reply soon

as told you do try and meet the gundecha staff and chk if there is any possibility since u r shifting from dubai,also their admission starts as early as october,u can chk their site and write to them and ask them abt the procedures for ADMISSION BCOZ THEY START THEIR ACADEMIC YEAR IN april itself,they r on with their vacation now and shall start from 1st of april and then again shut for a mnth in may.

its an excellent school if u get admi9ssion there nothing like it.

Thanks for the guidance i already inquired with them as u said they will start their year on April 1st n for my boys the academic year ends in March last week. so i will get no time for the preparation of entrance exam and as per their mail i belive the admission for year 2011-2012 has been already closed. Only my younger one can get admission in playschl this year. 

Do u have idea of any other school which is as good as or anywhr close to gundecha cirricula wise so i can opt for that n try getting admission for the next year??  Some body suggested for Witty international at malad ramchandra lane. have you heard of it how about that schl?? pls advice if u have any knowledge abt that schl.

Thanks for ur replyVimmny. I hv 1 aquaintance whose son studies in Gundecha. I'll check out wid her. Ur guidence will surly b of gr8 hlp. Lets hp for d best.

To add further, I was told by dis aquaintance dat d schl is not so good wen ur child cums to d secondary section n i read 1 more such comment on parentree as well. Ny idea?

problemwithme is dat the schools such as gundecha and tps dont take admission  for jan 2010 born fordis academicsession...

i was thinking of getting his DOB changed...shud i do this or wait for one more year...coz one month can waste one full year...

Why do you say no for witty international, can you please give some more details

witty international school at malad ramchandra lane i have heard that they r also developing another branch at pawanbaug malad any parents of witty international can please give some feedback of the school.. teachers.. education., and system.. need to know regarding IB BOARD  also.. how is the overall system of the school....

i wud suggest dont go for cambridge school specialy if ur child is in pre primary. i have suffered two years when my son was in jr n sr kg. teaching staff is not that gud, they keep 40-45 kid in a class, too much of academic load on small kids. no body cares what kids r doing in class..

1 sri sri ravishankar - cbse - borivali east

2 m k international - cbse - borivali west

3 ryan christan school - icse - borivali west

4 children acedemy - icse - kandivali east - admission will start in jan-13, i know it is best but seems very less chances

5 gundecha - icse - kandivali east - good school bt admission over nd this time it not opened for outsider

6 universal high - icse - dahisar east

pls gv ur inputs fast as 1st i hv to decide on cbse / icse then good school option... pls help

dont know much about othr schools but some of my frnds kids r going in gundecha and thakur public school......reviews about both the schools r gud.

have you tried in Lokhandwala Foundation ? and TPS ? and Ryan CBSE-Kandivali east? 

I think in these schools admission going on.

3 students have scored above 95% in 10 th ICSE 2012  which proves Cambridge,kandivali  is good school acedemic wise 

Pls can some1 provide a review for Childrens Academy-Asha Nagar branch? Too bad to hear that their admission process is on a lucky draw system. Also it seems Gundecha does not admit those who stay on a rental basis. Its so dis-heartening.

Seems this thread is no more active. However, if there are any responders, I would like to seek guidance for admissions in Nursery that are going on for academic year 2014-15. Gundecha does not handout forms for people statying in rented accommodation, which is a shame. Is there any other school in Thakur Village which has such a policy? Which school in Thakur Village would you recommend for nursery admission?

 hi rmum...plz check this news about gundecha becoz i know sum parents living on rent in thakur village n their kids r in gundecha.....thakur puplic n gundecha both r good schoools......as ur child is in pre primary i wud not suggest u to go to any of ryan group school as i suffered there with my kid.......all the best.
