I have been leaving my son at the day care and hence i know the kind of requirements that i would for my son in a day care. I am sure many parents would be going through this ordeal. Hence for a long time now i have been wanting to start a day care and preschool. But i need some guidance as to how do i start on. What will be the investment. How do i go about appointing staff. Any legal formalities etc.

Can somebody help me out.

The inidan montessori centre- - counducts an online theoritical course on the montessori system. This online course is meant for people who want to start montessori schools; it can be attended from anyhwere in the world (no classroom training)

I personally feel that the best way to learn more would be to experience it. Maybe you should spend a year or two working as a teacher at a day-care so you get a feel of it.  You could get a montessori (or some other) diploma to get preference in being hired at day-cares.

I suggest you approach a few playschools (there are many in every locality now ) and ask them what they expect from a  prospective-teacher.

u can make franchise enquiry at some of the preschools like eurokids, roots to wings, little elly, kidzee to get full details about opening a preschool..many of these preschools run day-care too..a visit there should get u some insight.

:)..let us know how it shapes up!!
