IGCSE or CBSE

Hi All! We are relocating from Dubai and my son currently in 3rd grade is studying in CBSE school here. We would be in Chennai in July 2021. I guess admission process in Chennai is over in most schools. 1) any idea which good school we may have a chance of securing admission. Taking the current COVID scenario into consideration, we are worried about exposing ourselves and my kid while going from one school to another. 2) I am also trying to decide if IGCSE school will be good for my kid. Do they give too much h.w? I need time to send my kid for other activities after school. Please can someone help with my concerns. Thanks
