EVS and vocabulary

Can anyone guide me what is the EVS portion for 1st grade for ICSE??

Our school covers names of birds , animals, clothes, seasons, days of week< months, etc.

But in their exams much more is asked than what has been taught in school.

For instance if 10 animals have been taught , in exam the pictures of birds to be named are totally different.

Of course i understand that it is difficult to teach a comprehensive list of all to kids but,

Are  there any vocabulary workbooks which will give them a practice in this?
