Schools in New Jersey

Hi All,

I am meena from Chennai. My daughter is 5 yrs old and is in UKG. My husband is moving to New Jersey (edison) in Last week of December. He got H1B stamped for a period of 1 year. Now my concern is if i should move with him or not. If i do, then i can move only in april after my daughter completes this academic year. In that case am i likely to get admission in any good school there? if so when does there academic year start, can anybody living in there advice me on this? Also wil i get admission since our dependant visa will be purely based on his 1 year validity,(but his visa is sure to get extended again in dec 2012??

Hi Meena..your kid is only 5 . i think you can move right away with your husband .In us mostly schools are public school and getting admission would not be difficult.

Check the websites for school ratings .go for schools with 6-10 rating. mostly u will get admission according to your residnace area. So u may first need to decide on school and then residing area.

think by this time you would have got this information.Still thought of writing back as i moved very recently from us to Chennai
