Hi,

We have to come for a kiddie Halloween party this Saturday. My older daughter is all set to be a pirate with those ready-made Halloween costumes.

With my younger son (age 6) thought would do something at home (instead of taking the easy way and getting a costume). Might be fun do do something fun and creative at home for a change.

Any ideas? They need to be fairly easy. ;-). Do not want to be shopping around too much for exotic fabric or materials. He does want to be some scary he says.

Thanks in advance!

 Hi Mango_Mama,

It's a great idea to let kids make their own costumes. If he is into scary ones I would like to suggest skeleton costume.

All you need is a pair of black clothes, white fabric paints, brush, freezer/wax paper, pair of scissors. Following site has instructions and images too. A mask simple printable at one site and a fancy card board if you have time to do a 3 dimensional one:

Enjoy helping your munchkin make his costume!
