Need help in improving my child's intellect

Dear All,

I have a son who is 8 years old, from the childhood his movements are very slow, started walking very late, started speaking very late, I mean not at right age, now he is in 3rd std, he is not the same as other children,

When I consulted doctor they said he is slow learner, he struggles a lot, and we as partners also struggle a lot in teaching, when you compare with other children you will come to know the different.

All I mean is I do not know how to express, can anyone help me; if by the treatment it can be improved I would really like to opt.
