Hi KolCB, Arundhati85 and other members, There were some inputs in this forum about inclusive schools few years back. I believe that time Arundhati, your kid was in DPS Joka and you were quite happy with their support. Lately, I have started searching for inclusive schools in Kolkata. My observations so far: 1. Disclosing mild autism, may ended up with rejection stating "special quota" is full. 2. CBSE/International school offering SEN, charges a lot without providing necessary support. Specially newly formed "international schools". KolCB, could you please come up with a revamped list of inclusive schools in Kolkata. Regards

You can go to Apollo hospital and meet Dr ram.he will guide you properly.

Dear parents, I am looking for shadow teacher for my son studying in class 2 in a cbse board inclusive school . ( Apeejay saltlake ) If anyone knows any contact for a shadow teacher kindly let me know. School timings 8 am to 12.15 pm. Minimum qualification - shadow teacher must be graduate pass else school will not allow to appoint. My son has ADHD and he is suffering from language delay. He can understand and speak bengali language almost 80-90% but can not follow spontaneous English languages and verbal English instructions given in class . Sometimes he struggles to copy from board due to attention problem and often he loose focus to follow board and loose patience to write in copy. Due to this challenge he struggles to complete class work some times.It is required to assist him in class during this kind of difficulties. My son does not have any physical disabilities. He can eat tiffin and goes to wash room independently in school. He also attends pt ,dance class alone in school. Sometimes he also seats with his friends in class alone and study. But due to above mentioned difficulties related with ADHD it is required to appoint a shadow teacher in class. Kindly let me know if anyone has any shadow teacher contact?? Also if any parent is also facing same problem with their kid ,then kindly let me know what therapy or training you are following for your son to recover attention problems in school. @arundhati85 Hope you and your son doing well. Is your son fully/ partially cured now as was told to you by two psychologist? Is your son attending regular classes with neurotypical children in DPS or in a seperate setup with other autistic children. Would you recommend this school to a girl child sufferring from mild form of ADHD? Pls help.
