If you are near banjara hills or madhapur, sloka and future kids are very nice schools. Regular schools are Chirec,DPS, Bharatiya vidya bhavan, Jubilee hills public school, oakridge, and glendale academy.

if you are elsewhere, let me know..will suggest

Hi Parthan,

Indus seems to be a good school. Looks quite promising from its website. The school is closing its admission by 23rd April.  Even for class 1, there is no written test. The Principal interacts with the child and parents and looks at the child's past performance from his/her previous report cards. Indus is purely following CBSE and is till class X.  As such I don't know anybody from this school personally.

Manthan International ( has got good reviews in this forum. The school follows IPC very similar to IB PYP methodology at primary level and has CBSE and IGCSE too at middle school. The child can opt for CBSE or IGCSE in class IX.  I spoke to them long back to enquire about an NRI's son admission.

You can see about manthan  in the  following link

hi mickey

thanks for your valuable inf. also advise about Rockwell Intl School.

Hi Parthan,

Rockwell and Indus are in two corners of Hyd. Rockwell is in Jubilee Hills and Indus near Neredmet. I think you need to choose a school which is near your residence.

Rockwell International is a very school which has started last year. It was a pre-primary school before. It has till 5th grade now and plans to extend till X by next two yrs or so.   admission 040 - 66 22 44 00

The school has an intergrated curriculum of CBSE and IGCSE in middle school and later children can choose between IGCSE and CBSE in class IX. At Kindergarten and primary level , the school follows IB PYP methodology. School seems to be good.

Admissions are going on. You can contact them in Apr or May. Admission fee is 25K. Term fee is 60K+ 5k per term for transport which is optional+ 2K per term for food which is mandatory.

I think if you are paying so much , why not opt for a well established school ?

If you are convinced with its campus and facilities , you can try this as new schools strive harder to prove themselves provided you plan to stay at BJ Hills or Jubilee Hills.  If you are staying in Sec'bad , you can opt for Manthan or Indus which will be nearer for you. Your daughter will be stressed out if she travels so far at this age.

I live near ESI / SR nagar, hyderabad. I am looking for a good "play school" for my Son. I heard that the registration process would start sometime in oct/nov. Could someone please help me in this regard.

[Its ok if it's a good school but only starts from nursery, I am ready to get my son there though he may need to repeat another year]

Hi micky,

I have read your reviews on chinmaya public school. because your daughter is studying in chinmaya, i would like to know what are the schools negative points which you have observed.

My interview in vidhyarana (Nurseary) is on 10.10.12, can you tell about negatives of vidhyarana aswell.

mickey 2012-10-05 11:36:24

 Hi Jcdipen,
Abt Vidyaranya , you could read in the below link.

The school is good but doesn't encourage competitive spirit in children which is needed at certain stage. If you think, the school can handle it, pl go ahead.

My daughter passed out from
Chinmaya 1 1/2 yrs back.  I find the school good in all the areas as such. There are pros n cons in every school. THe school doesn't have transport. However you will hv private vans n autos.
