Hi,

I am currently residing in US and planning to come back to India this summer. I started looking for admissions for 6th grade(2nd - 5th grade academics in US) and PP1. We have already submitted applications for both kids in JPHS and DPS. As it is lottery based admissions, I also want to reach out to other schools. Some in our list are Shri Ram Universal and Key stone(older kid initially studied in Gaudium till 1st grade but it has now become very expensive).
1. Are there are any other schools with reasonable fee closer to Manikonda?
2. Which school is better among Shri Ram and Keystone? I know I am comparing two different curricula here but want to explore all the options while we are waiting to here from JPHS and DPS. I did check the fee structures for other international schools and they are almost inline with Gaudium.
3. We are not planning to return to USA again. So, is it better to consider CBSE keeping in mind the competitive exams after 12th?

Please advice.
Shalini

Hi skbreddy, We are also moving to Hyderabad this summer and I was exploring the same schools you mentioned in your list. Did you finalise on any school ?

skbreddy 2021-02-15 23:19:24

Hi meg132,

We like keystone but they only have IB Cambridge we wanted to choose a school which has IB and CBSE. After various conversations with friends and checking over on different forums we have finalized DPS Khajaguda and Meridian madhapur, kphb cross rds schools. We have received a good reviews about these schools in terms of academics, extra curricular activities and fees.
we are in the process of taking admission and we would go with one of these schools.

shalu12 2021-02-16 00:53:13

DPS has already finished its lottery for LKG. My younger one€™s application didn€™t get picked. We are in dilemma again.

srid27 2021-02-16 09:36:39

@skbreddy, IB and CAIE( Cambridge) are 2 different curriculums. Keystone is all Cambridge ( they do not have IB). DPS Khajaguda is a purely CBSE school. Many schools provide integrated curriculum ( until 5th or 8th and then kids can choose either CBSE or IB ). For any new parents, I would suggest to verify the school accreditation on Cambridge website or IB website .Very few schools offer IB throughout ( MYP, High and IBDP) .

skbreddy 2021-03-22 18:33:21

Hi Srid27,

We have finally decided to go with IB curriculum and thinking between Meridian and Sreenidhi international school. Since meridian has IB curriculum till 5th grade only we are inclining towards Sreenidhi. I really appreciate if you could share your insights on Sreenidhi and also which are the other best IB schools which I should check. We are moving from US by end of May I really appreciate your inputs.

srid27 2021-03-22 23:28:26

I do not have any experience with Sreenidhi or IB curriculum in India. Oakridge, Indus, Aga Khan, - all follow IB. ISH follows IB and a mix of curriculum till a certain grade. Gaudium has PYP and candidate school for MYP ( yet to get the accreditation). My kids attend Cambridge so that's all the Info I have. Also IB is expensive compared to Cambridge ( very few schools have in throughout).
