hello all,

Thanks for reading this post.

We recently came from UK and took a sudden decision to stay back in India. Now the academic year is already started in India, and we are seeking school admissions where my children (8yr old Girl and 4 yr old Boy) can easily cope up with the current academic speed. Do we have any UK curriculum based schools in Hyd? If yes, how to proceed and what are the fee structures and other details?
Your kind response will surely helpful to plan my stay in India comfortably.

Thanks
Sudhakar

Hi Sudhakar,

Please mention about the place where you could stay,

Soo many schools offering IGCSE/CBSE syllabus and based on the budget you can plan,

CBSE syllabus : all schools surrounding of HYD,

IGCSE: Couple of famous International schools, which are charging about 3-4 lacks/yr

Thanks,

Surender

Hi Mr. Sudhakar,

You may try in Gitanjali Begumpet. It follows both Cambridge and ICSE Syllabus. Also , its one of the most reputed schools in Hyderabad.
Infrastructure wise , it might be on the lower side , but academically one of the best schools in Hyderabad.

Thanks,

Thanks a lot Tanisha for your valuable info... Are they accepting admissions during the schools mid term? Is it possible for you to give me some rough idea on fee structures?

Thanks
Sudhakar

Hi Mr. Sudhakar,

They are taking admission at the moment for Cambridge board I suppose as per school notice board. Fees including transport annually shall be a little more than 1 Lakh. There will also be a one time admission fee of about 50000 INR. These are all approximate fees. You may please get the correct ones from school directly.

Thanks,

That's fantastic info from you Tanisha... Thanks a lot for the update....

Which area you suggest to stay/live if I would like to the admissions in SAKET/SAINIKPURI branches?
Sudhakar

Sainikpuri is a small branch and there are no seats available. You have to go to Saket branch. Its the big campus. You can stay around sainikpuri, as rao nagar side. I have taken up a flat in yapral area. 12 kids take the school bus from this society.

Hi Sudhakar, I sent you a PM. If you are looking at Kukatpally areas then Saket, Sainikpuri is very very far.

We r planning to relocate to India this July from uk.
My son is in grade 7 now and will be moving to grade 8 after acadmic year finishes in july.
Looking for the board suitable to him moving to grade 8 after July in India.
Bit confused and worried as it will be new environment and new syllabus for him.
Please advise.
We also have a daughter who is in grade 2 now.
We are not worried much about her as she is in early years but would join her along with him.

Which part of the city would you be looking at? Whichever part of the city you choose, you will not have much issue in admission as now-a-days, most schools, especially from the newer crop of International schools, give admission year round. There is a substatial inflow of NRIs every year and the schools usually accomodate them.
