we are planning to go back to Hyderabad and looking for good schools ( not too hi-fi) . My kids will be in 5 th and 2nd grades. They are in TAG( Talanted and gifted program). Looking for schools that balances academics with extracurricullar activities and nurtures kids overall personality apart from teaching Indian values.
Help will be appreciated.

I am in a similar boat trying to get info as i was evaluating between CBSE/IB etc as language seems to be a challenge in CBSE particularly for higher grades above 4th

We are moving back from US and decided to opt for Non CBSE, ICSE schools for :
1. It might be hard to catchup with languages
2. The curriculum also directs schools on class strength
3. Entrance exams for 10+2 and stream selection
I had researched schools like Rockwell ( integrated) Keystone ( igcse) and a few more. Head very good reviews about both of them.
We have almost finalised Keystone. Please PM if you want to get more info.

Each family has their priorities and we may not get everything we wish for.

Kids learn language quickly with little extra help. I am ok with CBSE but looking for schools which help students grow intellectually. I need school that help international students feel at home in new place.

Hello All,

My suggestion is to go with CHIREC CBSE.. Kids adapt very quickly here.. We also relocated from US few months back.. and my kid got adjusted in 3 months.. and he's in higher grade..

Apart from regular academics they are into many other extra curricular activities which will help a child in all round development.  But  expensive when compared to other CBSE schools.. But I feel its worth putting a bit more extra in a well established school like this.

Other option is Keystone..

As per my analysis all the other schools which r coming up with a name tag of either international or global are not worth paying lacs of rupees.  Just for the name sake they r international..

Yeah....we are also yet to relocate from US to Hyderabad , I spoke to some schools and have received a very good response from Keystone school. I actually spoke to the director there who was quite good to talk to us over the phone nd proive some really good information about Cambridge curriculum, we have finalised on Keystone and have vlocked our seat online after talking to her. My frineds who have visited Keystone have shared their personal opinion . I also had Chirec in mind but I am unable reach them and talk to someone particularly about the admissions and procedure. Please share more info about both the schools as which one would be the best, though I have blocked seat with Keystone .

As I said earlier, Keystone is also good and can consider it.

To contact CHIREC you can fill the online admission enquiry form on their website. Admission team will get back to you.

Hello, We were in the same boat last year this time. Our kids are in Rockwell -PP2 and Grade 4. I was very keen on the school for my 4th grader as I was worried how he will settle down especially since he has writing issues. I am having very good experience with teachers and staff so far. I know how much they helped my kids for their smooth transition.

I do not see any rotten methods in teaching so far here. I was worried about higher grades here and I am in touch with few parents whose kids are in higher grades and so far I got good feedback from them.

I live in a huge county which has kids from at least 30 different schools. Chirec and DPS has maximum strength from our neighborhood. I talk to all parents. There are happy and unhappy parents from all schools including Chirec and mostly happy parents from all the schools. I suggest to visit the schools and use your best judgement.

If you don't have location constraint, You can consider Reqelford International school too as I heard good feedback. Wish you all the best.

My kid will be going to Grade 1.

Would love to hear your experiences and your research about the school. Please also let me know the Fee range of your recommended schools. We can get connected over email:

We are looking for a school with:

  • Focus on overall development and not too pushy on academics
  • Low student teacher ratio
  • Less school hours so that the kid can spend more time at home
  • Indian values oriented school
  • Distance from Amazon office in Gachibowli

Really looking for some good pointers in this network

Hi Yoshitha,
We are also returning from US to India. we recently blocked admission in keystone for 8th grade as you mentioned in the above group discussion you blocked admission in Keystone. I would like to know which grade your kid will be in? When are you moving to India? We would like to know where you will be staying as we are looking for renting an apartment. I just send a friend request to you. If you accept the the request, I would like to send personal message.

Thanks you.
