For 2018 academic year, my son got shortlisted for lkg in Jubilee hills public school. But I am in delima that should I get my son join in this school or not. Definitely infrastructure is great but fee is too high for lkg 78k which is higher than old students in the same school for higher classes.. can someone guide or suggest me about this..

Hi Santosh..does 78k is including caution fee and deposit etc... or is it only tution fee? Even if it is tution fee alone, I feel it is reasonable. My kid is now studying ukg in kidzee- and iam searching for class 1 admission in good reputed schools. As it is class1, seats are available out of vacancy only in most of schools and fee is not less than 1 lakh . JHPS fees are high compared to BVB and compared to old batches may be as u said, but it is reasonable compared to other schools whose infrastructure and name is not as compared to JHPS. For us it is little bit surprising to pay 78k for LKG as our graduation also not costed this much. But see the current trend.if u don't join in well known schools in lkg, u will end up like me for class1. So better see other options if u have. Otherwise go for JHPS. It is a good school.

Hello everyone, Even my daughter got selected for lkg.. We are planning to pay the fees this weekend and close it

Santosh796 2017-11-21 22:43:26

Thank you for your suggestions. Yes 78k is only tution fee. And other than jhps, mvm is the other option so far. Because other school like bvb, obul Reddy and dav haven't started admission process yet.. in mvm fee is around 50k. The only concern in jhps is older batch in higher classes are paying less. Which doesn't seem appropriate..

@yashusmom, what are your checklist to go for jhps. Have you done all the possible research to choose only this school?

@santosh We stay at ou colony..so our main concern is that schl should be around 5 KM's range..we are not interested in international schools..looking for a established school..security is also quite important to us...and budget should be around 1 lakh..and I have my cousin's children gng to this school and they are happy with it..so we thought instead of thinking more it's better to go for it..and yes even we are concerned about the fees hike for primary kids..but when we compare it with other schools..it seemed bit k..

,@naincy, I am also almost in the same boat. Based on colleague's suggestions trying in these schools 1. bhartiya Vidhya bhawan, 2. Obul Reddy, 3.DAV Kukatpally, 4. DAV Miyapur, 5. Jubliee hills public school and 5. Maharshi Vidhya mandir. Let's see what God has decided for me..

@Santosh, do you have any idea about Kennedy High School? is it very rare chance to get admission in this school. My main concern about the school is the academics + sports activities. I have visited websites of so many schools of Hyderbad and found surprisingly that only few of them have enough space for playgrounds. and
out of which, a very few are following CBSE pattern that I need to stick with.

very very confused and scared how to decide and move forward!

@Naincy, Sorry I don't know. Please share your experience if you finalize something. Thanks

@Yashusmom, thanks for sharing the details.. I am still in confusion.

Hey Naincy,
Did you visit the Vignan's WorldOne campus in Kondapur/Hafeezpet!? They have > 20 Acre campus with all the sports courts including a big Cricket ground.

Naincy17 2017-11-27 11:17:59

Hi Santosh,

My husband has visited the new campus of Global edge, Kokapet and he is really impressed with the infrastructure and their academic curriculum. they have good playgrounds unlike other campuses of Global edge. the fee is approximately 1.5 lac in total for Grade II which includes everything.
He had also visited Sentia  but he preferred Global edge over Senta.

Naincy17 2017-11-27 11:21:21

can you please give more details about this school?

Santosh796 2017-11-27 16:23:06

@naincy, how much is the yearly tution fee for global edge?

Vihaan911 2017-11-27 16:38:05

Hi Parents,

Please help me out...

Based on my colleague's recommendations, here's the priority list I have decided:

1. Hyderabad Public School.
2. BVB School
3. Jubilee Hills Public School.
4. NASR Boys.

Please share the feedback asap. Also, let me know whether the admission process has started for these schools or not. If yes, what is the admission criteria etc.

Regards,
Ashish

@Santosh, today I went to JHPS to submit form for LKG and as per the clerical staff available they will start Parents+ Child Interaction next month onwards and she told that they have not yet finalized any candidate for admission. So is there any other way to get admission, please let me know so that I can also try that approach. JHPS is very close to my house so was preferring it over others.

Santosh796 2017-11-28 14:10:35

@prempsingh, Same channel but I had submitted the form in beginning of the month(4th Nov) . And all the process was done on next day itself..

Hi Santosh ... I also submitted form for my son in JHPS and I have an interaction scheduled on Saturday. What are the kind of questions they asked you ? My son knows all the basics ( alphabets, numbers, rhymes ) but he will not answer in front of new people. So am worried a little if they might reject him. And is the selection also based on the donation amount we enter ( I heard it somewhere that if we write less amount they might reject )

Thanks in advance

Santosh796 2017-11-28 16:52:23

@swathi0102, It was basic things.. Rhymes, colors, etc.. I am not sure about the selection process is based on donation or not..

swathi0102 2017-11-29 15:38:08

Thanks for the update .... I also feel that fee is high - 78 K tuition fee + 50 K infrastructure fee + donation ( depends ) ... so just wondering if its worth it

I feel it is better to physically check the infrastructure and facilities of every school and also try to enquire from existing parents of that school . From my friends I come to understand that JHPS has got good infrastructure , 30 years standing and reasonable fees when compared to schools like chirec and meridian. Donation is not compulsory and they issue official certificate for claiming Incometax benefit.
Even a preprimary school like kidzee and bachpan charge upto 75000 . JHPS , BVB and Obul Reddy are run by good societies .However JHPS  fees is more than BVB and Obul Reddy because of better infrastructure and facilities.
I understand that JHPS has got many awards recently and is run by a good society. I am planning to join my kid in JHPS or Bharatiya Vidyabhavan . Other schools are such as DPS , Meridian and chirec are not affordable for me.

thinkk 2017-11-30 16:09:07

They seem to be observing mainly the physical health of the child and behaviour at the first level.  At the second level , the parents are asked questions about their profession , transport requirement and support at home for the child. When we told that both of us are working  they were not very happy and we had to assure them that the grandparents will take care.

swathi0102 2017-12-01 12:22:10

Going by the reviews looks like JHPS is a good choice. My criteria is not only education but other extra curricular activities and sports that will help the child grow. I am also trying for BVB and Obul Reddy but both are lottery based so I don't have much hopes there. We have an interaction scheduled this weekend for my kid, so lets see how it goes. My kid basically knows everything and is also going to a pre-school but the problem is he wont open up in front of new people. So am worried how he will talk in the interaction

I am looking for admissions for my daugther in jhps for next year in Grade 1. Am i miss the bus for the admission process? Could anyone tell me the admission process when it starts?

koolravi 2017-12-02 11:50:30

Santosh, I have an interaction for my kid in jhps today. I also have the same questions as swathi mentioned in this forum . Do you mind telling us the appropriate figure which would give guarantee the admission in jhps

swathi0102 2017-12-04 10:18:46

Hi everyone ... we had our interaction on Saturday. It was just a casual discussion where in the 1st round they asked my kid his name and if he knows any rhymes. When he said he knows they asked to tell one rhyme. The 2nd round was with the principals and higher authorities where they just spoke to us about why we preferred this school and since both are working who would take care of kids. It went well where my kid was also comfortable. Last segment was when they asked how much we want to pay donation. They said they will inform us in 1 week about the selection
