In 2013 we relocated from US to India.  Need to give importance to two things when you are relocating from US or other western countries (standards of school and home)

1. Schools that allot sufficient time for extra curricular activities along with academics.
Most of the international schools allot some time for extra curricular activities.
These international schools are best for kids relocating from US to India.
Please check whether facilities provided by schools are good or not.
e.g.: Chirec, Oakridge etc ... have good facilities, but they do charge a premium

2. Please ensure that house you are going to be living is in a good sizable gated community (sports facilities, parks, swimming pools etc...) Where kids can interact with other kids, play games etc ...

When you are relocating from US to India, first kids complain is about pollution, facilities etc ...

When you provide school and home with  good facilities, you are taking care of the most part.

All the best.

Thanks for ur valuable response I had these schools in mind but having a double mind why pay such high fees just for kindergarten leavel plus we r right now not looking for the international board .. Looked into both the schools they r way too far from where we stay. Plus I dint want my lil one to travel way too much as this would be his first stint with the hyd traffic. We thought of the same hence moving into a township. We have thought of meredian kukatpally.. Any ideas about this school.. Apurva

hello friends
I am in same situation. I have moved to India with kids but yet to shift to Hyderabad. As I am not from Hyderabad it is very hard for me in deciding schools and apartments.
I am so confused with the schools, reviews, fee structure and curriculum etc. I am not against international schools but don't want to pay lakhs of rupees just for primary education. Please suggest some schools which have less student teacher ratio like 1:25 with reasonable fees. less than 2 lakhs

@justakid, I read your kid is in Arbor International school. fees looks reasonable. Can you please tell me how the school is? are there any good gated communities near by.

thanks in advance

~Madhavi
