Hello Mickey / others ,

do you have any idea about lab school and its reviews?

Is it true that the primary wing of the school is in OU and the senior wing is P Obul Reddy school in Jubilee hills?

subhaprada 2016-11-18 13:38:59

LAB SCHOOL &  Obul reddy school are different. but. I think they are affiliated to Andhra Mahila Sabha trust. As far as i know, 2 seats in Obul reddy school are reserved for Lab school students in 3rd class.
Lab school follows montessori methods and it is very good. Only disadvantage, lab school is upto 3rd class only.

Hi Hemanu this is extremely useful information thanks so much...only 2 seats on obul Reddy?? Up to 3rd class means then what happens after 3rd standard?? It's already tough to get admission in schools for first std...also what kind of student mix do they have??

somal 2016-11-19 16:16:00

Thank you  subhaprada, i have only concern, about method of teaching in LAB schools, are students able to competitive after 3rd  with regular schools?

somal 2016-11-19 19:10:39

Actually o want my son to study somewhere close by to my house...I stay at vidyanagar...we are trying our best to get him in aurobindo but those people don't confirm until march by that time all admissions are over...we applied in hps but I'm.not too happy to admit him.to hps either cos school gets over at 3:30 n it would be 4 pm by the time he reaches home...I'm.ok if I find lab school good..I will keep trying in aurobindo

Hi somal, Why u want to put ur child only for 3 years in one school which doesn't have any higher branch to study. Getting admission to higher grade is difficult bcoz that depends on vacancy and again u have to pay a big amount of admission fees after 3 years. Better u choose one school may b 7 km far but u need not have to worry for 10 years. Think again. Good luck.

somal 2016-11-19 22:03:31

Hi Hemanu... aurobindo has only intake for lkg ..for all other sections it's vacancy based n as no student confirms quitting the school before Feb I think they don't put up any formal adv

somal 2016-11-19 22:08:25

True panda1 I.inderstand what you n Hemanu are trying to say ...I.have also not decided as yet. Went to Oxford grammar n kind of decided against it as timings are up to 3:45... I feel it's a bit too.much...coming home at 4:30 ish kids can neither sleep nor can we make them study ...plus Saturday also they have school...HPs also till 3:30...kid won't be back before 4 at any cost ..early morning schools are great but this 3:30 pm timing is giving me jitters as I know my kid won't be comfortable in this kind of grind...same with sarathi...don't know where we will end up... aurobindo ends at 2;30 n 2!45 he will reach home

Somal, did you tried Sanya sai school? Of course it's ssc. But school is very good n nearer. Mother integral also good, ssc again.

Hi somal, I know 3.30pm is tough for 5+ children but aurobibfo school took only lkg admission. There is very rare change for class 1 I guess may b impossible. They have directly written in their hone page no ukg and other class vacancy. Do what can we do more. Hps is too much 7.55 to 3.30 but there may b recess in between for play time. Yes I agree there is less time to guide them at home. Hope school to end at 3.

 Former member 2016-11-19 22:27:12

Somal if u had aurobindo school near u then why didn't u try for lkg 2 years back?? It would have been better.

 Former member 2016-11-19 22:44:20

Hi somal, Hps timing is from 8.10 to 3 pm. sarathi school is from 8.45 to 3.30. Both have the same overall timing only the clock matters. St Andrews is from 8.40 to 3pm. What about Saturday timings??

 Former member 2016-11-19 22:48:33

Why do you want to change from kausalya global school?

somal 2016-11-20 06:23:11

kaushlya global preschool is where he is studying right now...main school is in banjara hills

somal 2016-11-20 06:24:03

I thought hps timing was also till 3:30 because I heard 2:30 to 3:30 some games stuff for kids

somal 2016-11-20 06:24:43

2 years back I was a new parents with no idea of how the school scenarios work :((

somal 2016-11-20 06:31:03

Another thing about hps is that absolutely no outside food allowed...my kid loves home made stuff n what we give in his tiffin is hid major inspiration to go to school...don't know why they have such rules n don't offer a choice

 Former member 2016-11-20 09:21:03

Hi somal, According to hps website timing is upto 3pm, however exact timing would b known later. Yes I understand ur problem. I too had the same problem 2 years back. If HP's providing food with the same fees included then what's the problem. They must b providing hygienic food. Eating together will make children mix well. Don't worry everything would b okay. U try other schools also according to ur choice. Hps is not end of the world. First u b selected then u can decide. B calm now.

 Former member 2016-11-20 09:26:39

Somal, if you are ready send hps or distribution why not to continue kaushlya global preschool? You are saying g it's good school. Sorry in did not go through your all posts.

 Former member 2016-11-20 09:52:02

Typo:dps not distribution

somal 2016-11-20 10:25:55

Hi Hemanu... kaushlya global Dd colony branch has up to pp2... Then they have banjara hills ...i find it very average so not interested... Panda...true I am worrying but now I've finalised that even if I get hps I would not opt...I enquired with parents n food is pretty average...they serve milk twice which surprised me..I know these minute details we should consider only when we get admission bit with what info I have I think I have opted it out

 Former member 2016-11-20 11:23:50

Somal U seems to b so confused. B clear what u want. Either a good school with good academic till 10 years or schools which get close early. If u want something best then u need to compromise on something may b time timing. Regarding HPS milk is served to borders only it to all. If u don't want u may skip, talk to the management. Get proper information. Don't think much.

 Former member 2016-11-20 11:25:39

Regarding hps is milk for all is it true?? Reply in HPS thread only.

Somal, if at you want to manage the time, you may need to relocate

somal 2016-11-20 12:42:47

So finally I have decided only for two schools to peruse seriously... aurobindo and hps...I'm.not confused but priority wise less stress is most important for me n a school with decent infrastructure..I cannot even relocate as all the support system for kids is where I stay...I thought momentarily about DPS but again why repeat pp2 ...any other schools please suggest if you guys know...
