I am also looking for the same information
I visited the school today for enquiring admissions for PP1. Made to wait for almost 1 hour over all. Some employee explained about the school and said director would explain about fees. Had to wait for 20 mins and finally another employee (not the director) explained about the fee structure. These two employees could not answer my basic question of whether there is option of choosing CBSE after 5th grade as they said they follow IB, but said director can only give clarity about this. But director seems to be busy from almost 1 hour. I felt irritated and walked out. Class-rooms are all air conditioned, so no open air flow into the building. Currently it has upto 5th grade and they would open up higher classes year on year. As the classes open-up they would start a new building adjacent to the existing one we see in pictures, so expect construction work in future. No food provision. For PP1, its 8.30 to 3.15. Approach road to the school is very narrow and work in progress. Not everything is fully built as they show in the landscape. But, yes there is open area with lawn adjacent to the block and kids can play out during free-play.
One time adm fee: 35k,
One time refundable caution: 15k,
One time applcn & reg: 2k,
Tuition: 28K*3 terms
Transport (they couldn't tell exact amount): 6k*3 terms (within 5 kms range),
Uniform & Books: 9K (approx),
Annual fee: 10k
Overall impression is that fees is no less than a well established school, so why go here unless we don't get admission there. Expect construction work in future. I had a feeling that kids are not looked over properly as they seem to walking in & out of the classes as their wish during my 2 hours stay there. At present facilities like ground are shared between gautami vidya khestra which is the parent school for this. Not everything as shown in their landscape picture is available.
did anyone join their kids in canary?
I did, but now regretting. School is not yet mature to handle small kids. Lots of management related issues and no one is really working to solve those. I would NOT recommend this school for sure.
Is this really in the IB affiliated schools list?
Canary is certainly not an established school. They are still not sure on how to balance between academic and non-academic activities. My kid is there and I am regretting for it. I am changing his school this year and searching for some more options around Madinaguda. They focus more on non-academic activities. I would not recommend it for any kid.
It has IB affiliation but teachers are not well equipped to handle that syllabus.
Hello @caringparent1, Could you please share other problems you faced at canary. We are seeking adminission, it would be really helpful if you share your experience.
Also please let me know if there are other good schools around Miyapur.
Hello, i have my kid joined this school and i am now regretting. They don't know how to take care of the small kids. They ONLY concentrate on useless stuff but not on academics which is quite worrying me now. I am thinking of changing the school now.
Though, they were informed about the issues, they really don't care.
I am a canary parent, have my two kids there. One in PPT 2 and one in 1st standard. To me ,Canary is the best place for children both in academics and non academics. The teachers take good care of my both kids.I keep getting both positive and negative feedback from them. The best part is , just like we had ,in our times, the school premises is so open and vast for the kids to play around and have lot of physical activities. From the Academics point of view too, the HRT tries to encourage my kids in their weaker subjects. And coming to the fee structure, ,its worth to the standards they offer. My little one is always super exited about the hobby clubs. Definitely every thing has both pros and cons.As a parent of 2 kids, for me pros overweigh cons here in Canary and i am pretty much satisfied with the academic services they acknowledge to the kids.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to
the Canary school management. I am very much impressed with the way my two kids
are progressing in Canary. The teachers and staff are very supportive. My
daughter loves the teachers a lot and the teachers are very approachable for
parents. My daughter had the most amazing time at Canary and developing in so
many ways. She is more confident, balanced and free- thinking child.
The best part is that, when I say today is holiday for the
school, my children will say €˜I want to go to school€™. My daughter is happy
and excited every day.
My experience with Canary has been fantastic and I would
definitely recommend to others.
May i know which school have you shortlisted this year? Or are you continuing with canary? Which school are you considering
