Hi, If anyone can guide me on schools in Hyderabad that will be good. I have been transferred here and am searching for schools for my daughter for LKG admissions. I have checked 15 different schools including Meridien, Orchids, Sreenidhi and less costly ones like Eurokids, Sentia, Ladders, New Century public school, Vikas - the concept school etc. Schools in Kukatpally seem to be good and less costly also. Schools like DAV, BVB, Chirec and Sanghamitra do not have any admissions available. Any suggestions? Thanks, Sarang.

If you could specify the area too it would help us to suggest schools in the vicinity.

I  Like Vikas -Concept school.Fees is also ok.Campus is good, staff is also good.
I personally met the headmistress of the school. She seems to know her job and responsibilty well.

Thanks. I actually have got my daughter admitted in Sentia - the global school which is in the same area. It is having Eurokids affiliation and the set up is far better.

I liked Vikas too and I happened to speak with the headmistress also. I liked that school but I had not visited Sentia then. As compared to the teacher student ratio in VIkas, Sentia is better. They strictly have not more than 20-25 per teacher. In Vikas it goes to 35-40 most of the times.

I reside at Nizampet road and I'm looking for nursery admission for my 31 months old son. I checked Manthan International, Madhapur. It seemed to be very good and unlike the other conventional schools. But it is a new school. Wanted to know more about Eurokids at Sentia.

Sarang 2010-02-01 10:48:50

Hi, Eurokids in Sentia follows a typical Eurokids program with absolutely no burden of studies and more focus on play and learn methods. Its good. Moreover, Sentia's facilities are far better than other Eurokids establishments. I personally liked the school enviroment. The teachers are trained by Eurokids.

rekhagpai 2010-02-03 10:29:07

So what do you think, should i go for Eurokids, Sentia or Manthan?

Joemom 2010-02-03 14:31:39

I too visited Sentia and got admission my son over there. But I heard silver Oaks is good, as we went little late they said the admissions are closed for LKG

Hi, If anyone can guide me on schools in Hyderabad that will be good. I planning to move Hyd and i am searching for schools for my son for LKG admissions & i am intrasted in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, any one kows about addmitions of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan..

I would like to answer the question by rekhagpai.

Well, it really depends on what you would like to choose for your kid's stress management :-). Our schooling system - whether its CBSE or ICSE, both need to have a certain level of capability in the child at the time of entering 1st standard. I also heard that they are expected to know cursive writing at the start of their 1st standard curriculum, which is simply ridiculous. However, we can not change that if it is true. OUr normal schools have kids undergo the burden of a lot of studies and homework from their LKGs in order to make their smooth entry in 1st standard.

However Eurokids focuses on no burden during the 1st two years - LKG and UKG and then that results into kids taking time getting adjusted to 1st standard. Eventhough EUrokids also have introduced cursive writing in UKG, overall the burden on kids is less in EUROKIDS Curriculum. But parents and kids will have to prepare them for the burden /stress in the 1st standard.

So whether Sentia Eurokids or Manthan is really not a choice between schools, its between whether you want to push the studies burden on kids to 1st standard or you want it to happen from LKG. Personally I had my daughter admitted to EUROKIDS Sential because -

1. I thought at the age of 6-7 kids are better equipped to manage stress related to studies than at the age of 4.
2. If we continue with Sentia in 1st standard (CBSE), they help kids to gradually pick up and try to alleviate the pressure that they would otherwise face outside going thru the transition from Eurokids easy curriculum to 1st Standard CBSE.

Hi Samatha,

Admissions for LKG in BVB right now would be difficult. It is closed. May be you can try your luck  and meet personally the Principal. If there is anybody who hasn't completed the admission formalities, you may find a chance. However admission for class 1 will start from April 1st onwards.

Even if you don't get in BVB, there are other good schools too for LKG and UKG in Hyd. You can put your child in BVB in 1st std if you are particular about that school.

If you could tell us where u would reside in Hyd, choice of school would be much easier.

samatha 2010-02-16 18:41:48

Hi Mickey,

Thank u For giving  informatation of BVB, today we called BVB, they told very clearly...admitions are closed for LKG.

we r planing to move HYD in May/June, We are planning to stay near to JNTU or Near to Hitech city....

mickey 2010-02-16 23:26:16

Hi Samatha,

If you are very much interested in BVB then let your child study Pre-Primary in some other good school and later shift  your child to BVB in 1st std .

There are many good schools around JNTU or Hi-Tech city. You can look for other CBSE schools like Chirec, Sentia The Global School in Miyapur, Vikas-Concept school ,DAV Public School in Kukatpally, Maharshi Vidya Mandir in Kondapur.

Sri Chaitanya Techno School at Kukatpally follows an integrated syllabus of SSC,CBSE and ICSE at  High School level. It is also a good school.

I think you will be able to get in Sentia, Vikas and Sri Chaitanya Techno school easily.

You can see the websites of the above schools .

There are some International schools too if you are interested.

hi, I'm shoba.  i'm in a dilemma. my son goes to 1st std. next year. sangamitra has no vacancy. i would like a comparision between silver oaks, vikas and vignan for cbse syllabus. academics and teaching would be the priority to rank them in that order.awaiting an early reply

mickey 2010-09-09 13:51:57

Hi Shobha,

You can prefer Silver Oaks as it also follows IB-PYP teaching methodology from LKG to class 6 with CBSE curriculum. You can keep Vikas as your second option.

Please visit the school and talk to the parents from that school.

I am sorry for replying so late.  You can call up Silver oaks and find out the details regarding admission.

mickey 2012-01-25 16:46:23

 Hi Nalini,

I seem to have missed your post. You could directly post it to my inbox in Parentree. It is difficult to keep track of threads at times...

You could try in DAV, Sentia or Vikas if u r staying at Miyapur. It might exceed your budget if you include the admission fee.

Most of the schools follow SSC in Dsnr and many of the schools lack playground. However, you could  have a look at Sanskriti  School in Kothapet.

You can also find

Springdale Academy de International

I met one parent from this school who gave positive reviews. The school seems to be good.

Hi All,

I have 2 daughters, currently studying in class 5 and 1. The present school has education only till class 5. I am in urgent need to seek admission for my elder daughter for class 6. Kindly suggest me decent CBSE schools in and around Abids-Himayathnagar areas which are not too high on pocket.

Hi ,

My husband has recently taken a job in hyderabad. We are new to the place. We are looking for a school with focus on overall development and not just the bookish knowledge. My daughters are 8 and 3.5 yrs of age.we will finalize the place of stay after we decide on the school.

Can you please suggest some good schools so that we can visit them and finalise. Will appreciate if the information such as the reviews for school, fee structure and admission opening window for the schools is also shared.
