Due to my sudden transfer from Bangalore, i went across a few schools in Gachibowli belt. Below is my quick feedback and fees for admission into 2nd grade. Thought this might be useful for many parents who my end up with a similar situation in professional life. All fees are for 2016-17 academic year. Idea was to find a school in the so called "Higher Medium" category with fees range of 120,000 to 170,000 per annum (admission fees apart).
DPS - Fees 100,000 and Transport 30,000. Admission charges are 50,000 i heard. Nanakramguda campus is very good and well maintained. well, i am late so did not expect a seat. I was offered a seat in DPS Bachupally which is 20km away from Gachibowli. Its a new campus and i bet kids will manage to see a few leopards or foxes (well if they manage to find some water). LOL.
Future Kids - Fees 80,000 and admission 50,000. Only ICSE school around the area and i was really trying to continue my kid in ICSE. Maintained in sheds but well built and aesthetically appealing sheds. :-) Management is good and overall school is appealing. However, for Hyderabad heat i was not ready to put my kid in Tiled sheds as he is already in climate shock ;-)
Sentia - Fees 75,000 and Transport - 25,000. Admission fees is 30,000. Big campus and well managed large playground (check in google maps). Staff is ultra disciplined (i am surprised) and thoroughly responsive. I have no reasons not to consider this school. My colleagues kids study there and they are very happy with both academics and
Kennedy High - Fees 100,000 (not sure including or excluding transport). Well maintained campus and very secure honestly. Very accessible and staff is very responsive. Again, not too sure about the academics. Other parents can add more details
Rockwell - 120,000 fees, 75,000 admission, 15,000 caution deposit, 31,000 flat transport fees, 36,000 food for entire year. The management and overall feel is very good and i found the kids very lively and active. i get a feeling that their kids feel home. Their kokapet campus is new but fully finished. The grounds are ok ok. The fees is not very high compared to what we are used to in Bangalore. So this is my choice for now.
Phoenix Greens - 110,000 fees, 75,000 admission, 15,000 caution deposit, 32,000 flat transport fees, 36,000 food for entire year and mandatory. The campus is new and superbly maintained. The teachers and staff are highly responsible and speak English English. LOL. well, i mean the real English. The curriculum is well setup and i am overall impressed. This is my second choice.
Orchids Jubilee hills - more or less same fee structure above. Tution is higher at 160,000 but did not bother to go there. I already liked Rockwell and Phoenix. Gaudium - very new school. fees more like Phoenix. but did not try as the campus is way too far (kollur. where in the world is this village??)
I did not try the below well established or expensive schools (not my reach) - Oakridge - 300k, CHIREC - 300 to 400k i heard, Mosaica - 600k (does not make any sense anyway for me. seems ok for expats), NASR boys is not our types and ofcourse cant expect to get a seat anyway. Did not try other well established schools in Jubilee hills (Ex obul reddy) as i do not have time or interest to run behind recommendations (which work usually very well in HYD)
So friends, hope this is reasonably helpful. Apologies if any difference of opinion or wrongly quoted fees. Just thought of compiling this for your convenience. :-)
hi Even we are moving from bangalore to hyderabad...our search started 3 months ago...and finally ended up with rockwell...my hubby personally visited the school and had a chat the parents of rockwell ..they are really happy with the school...all are shifting from juliee hills to kokapet...as u said kids are very lively...I was inclined towards PG before..now dropped the idea after talking to some parents there...finalized with Rockwell international..see u there...Started with apartments now...my kids are grown in 10acre campus here..looking for a big campus ..
Hi Ravid, thanks for your detail review information. This is useful indeed as we'll be relocating in April. Hi Nasrin, any leads about the apartments near Kokapet or Gachibowli?
Nasrin/ RaviD,
Hope the kids are happy at Rockwell. just wanted to check where you re living if enrolled at the Kokapet Campus. you can also send me the details my sending a message !
Thanks for the detailed review. I too visited Rockwell recently. I felt the school is very is good in outlook. I am short listing this school for my son's pp-2 admission (Aprt from Chirec, Phoenix Greens, Future kids and Epistemo)
But what I came to know is that they are going to increase fees for next year steeply (might be more than 30%). I am not sure then that is worth or not. They have fee of 1.07 lac for this year. so the fee for next year going to be around 1.5 lac (apart from 85000 for admission fee) + Transport, food, stationary, books, uniform etc.
And one more thing they informed that they have integrated curriculum (looks like mix of IB and CBSE) till 8th standard. I don't understand much about the curriculum. Any ideas on that? I am not sure kid will cope up if he takes CBSE stream in 9th standards. Any feedback from Rockwell School Parents will be more helpful for the parents like me.
Hi Ravid, Next month we are moving from Hyderabad to Banglore. We are looking for good daycare for our 4yrs old kid He is studying in PP1. We have heard about KLAY, but it's very expensive. Can you share where your kids were studying in Banglore, or any info you have about good school+daycare setups in Banglore.

HAHAHA, review was more about fees rather than curriculum and values being imparted....I don't see anybody(not everybody) asking for value based schools....they want only communications and campuses which talk only about money...........
