Hi all,

After doing some research, I have these economical choices:

1. Vikas Concept School, Bachupally area

2. Vignan High School, Nizampet

Which one is better, especially in terms of teaching spoken english, academics and co-curricular activities(importance in that order)?

Kindly help ASAP. I need to quickly decide.

prasmd 2010-06-01 10:08:20

Hi all,

Please let me know your thoughts on these two schools (i.e. Vignan and Vikas Concept School) at your earliest. I need to decide fast.

Thanks for your help.

maveris 2010-06-08 12:45:39

I am also looking for same Prasanna.

Hi Mickey,

Could you please help us in this situation?

mickey 2010-06-10 09:33:43

Hi maveris,

As I told you, just wait till the school re-opens to get the exact feedback from parents of these institutions. I think you can hold the admission for another 3 days or so.My friend who takes tuitions in Kukatpally has suggested Vignan. She says its better than Vikas.I have personally not visited the school .So i would like u to do the same and decide accordingly.

After reading one review about Kennedy high global school by Merry, I have dropped Kennedy high global from my consideration list.

Now I have to chose between Vikas, vignan, and thecreek.. definitely by fee structure thecreek is highest, then vikas and finally vignan..

Would like to know where the teachers are more student friendly, affectionate and amiable. My daughter is very sensitive and even her class teacher at Nursery told me so, and cries even if somebody yells at somebody else!!

So please tell me which one would be better for my daughter.

Hi Mickey-

Do you have any feedback for vignan , nizampet.

mickey 2011-09-28 09:36:25

 Hi Sudhakar,
I heard the strength of Vignan in  lower classes is high. So kindly check out.

It is a pocket friendly school.

SudhakarReddy 2011-09-28 11:21:53

Hi Mickey--

Thanks for your quick response. How about the education in vignan?

We are planning to shift to a house near by to vignan. So ,Planning to join my kids in vignan , if it is really good at providing education to children.

mickey 2011-09-28 11:30:16

 Hi Sudhakar,
Seems to be good. But i don't have the current updates. Pl  get in touch with parents personally coz that would be the best way to decide.  These days many schools are closed owing to T--Stike/bandh and also Dussehra vacation. You could visit the school after 10th Oct'11.

The good things about Vikas and Vignan are

  1. Fee is reasonable compared to Silver oaks and other schools
  2. big play ground
  3. vignan is near to people living around Nizampet, so can be considered neighborhood school
  4. my neighbor's kids go to vignan school and they are good in academics. ( it depends on the intelligence of child too)
  5. I believe they are not very particular about English as communication medium in school
  6. Not heard of more extra curricular acivities
  7. Vikas is better than vignan, as it is trying to match the levels of other schools which boast of many activities

not so good things

  1. I feel they are not up to the bench mark set by best schools
  2. old fashioned and only academic oriented
  3. not very hygenic, when it comes to clean toilets etc

hope this is of some help. If you need anything in particular let me know, I know parents from these schools and can get back to you.

My kid is studing in Vigan Nizampet since 5 yrs and one thing i would like to clarify is his class strength has never exceeded 35.

More than that the teacher share an excellent relationship with him, which i should say is very unique feature of this school. I frequently meet my friends , whose kids are studing in schools like CREEK & VIKAS & kENNEDY , they always crib for the lack of attention given to their child.

 Hi happy mother,

Ur review was really helpful. I am planning for Vikas for my kid for gradeI. U mentioned extra curricular activities aren't there in Vikas.  Which activities do u mean by extra curricular?

What we saw at Vikas,  the playground was always occupied by students for some sports or the other. I believ Vikas is good at sports, at least.

Thanks in advance

sandyreddy 2013-02-27 14:11:49

I totally agree with Mrs. Radhika. In Vignan's Bo tree school, the care the teachers take for my child is excellent. Even in extra-curriculars also they are much better than many international schools I have seen. I suggest you to please refer their website for the list of achievements every year. Particularly in 2012-13 itself, they had 1 international and 13 national level achievements which I think wouldn't be possible without proper care in extra-curriculars. So i think there is always a difference between having good facilities and putting them to proper use, which should be the case for any good school.

Hi Deepak,

My Daughter is studying in Vignan Bo Tree. She is into UKG Now. The school atmosphere is good and she is doing very well when compared with same grade from other schools. They take good care about every child. There is a balance between education and extra circular activities. We reside in nizampet and we opted this. The fee is ok. 42k is school fees. Bus fees is about 8K and books will be around 2K.

tumbin76 2014-12-17 15:36:30

i am planning to admit my daughter in UKG at Vikas. I was told there will be a written assessment for admission of the kids consisting spellings of 1-20!! that seems a bit too much for a UKG kid. has anyone gone through the assessment process in vikas so far?

phanindrag 2014-12-17 21:21:15

I am also looking for joining my kid in UKG. Could any one please suggest which school is best between Vignan and Vikas in Nizampet.

vrada 2014-12-18 09:58:21

Does any one have idea on admissions to Vignan Bro? Did it start for 2015-2016? What is the procedure for LKG? Do they also have interaction?

vijaykiran 2015-01-03 13:58:08

My Kid is 2 years old and I must put him into School when he comes to 3 Years(Oct 27 2015). Could you some one let me know how is Vignan School in Nizampet. Is the education good. As per my understanding I assume it is CBSE syllabus.

swadeep 2015-02-16 13:38:08

hi all,

Finally after a long search of good schools for my daughter, my search ended at vignan bo tree school, Nizampet.

- CBSE curriculum

- This school has a huge play ground, very good at extracurricular activities.

- Pocket friendly school- fees for 2015-2016 for 1st class admission fee- 35000, tuition Fees- 46000 which is paid in 2 terms, Transport to chandanagar is 10,500, books 3000, Uniforms 2,400.

- Unlike other schools vignan bo tree is  very transparent in terms of parents meeting the teachers during the school working hours and discussing about the problems faced.

- I have observed that students were speaking in English only even at the absence of teachers.

- well ventilated class rooms

- Not a new school therefore, well established.

- when compared to vikas I liked vignan a lot as I found behaviour of  vikas teachers especially vice principal very harsh towards parents.

and also the classrooms of vikas school were very dark which is not suitable condition for kids to study.

I hope this information is helpful for the parents who is in search of good school.

thank you.

narasimha67 2016-02-25 20:33:59

i have said on previous forum also. my children are happily studying in vignan. their support is very good in both academics and co curricular. for communication skills i think school and parents should work together so there is no problem in that. -ns
