Iam a new joinee here.
Presently we staying at Kukatpally and in another 2-3 months we are going to shift to Chandanagar.
After some research, I am considering (not yet finalized) Sancta maria school for joining my 2yr old daughter into Nursery for the academic year 2016-17. However, I am confused with the syllabus followed there i.e., IGCSE. Most of the international schools has this syllabus or Cambridge International Curriculum. I understood that this is internationally recognised board. I am very much interested in joining my kid there....but I do not know, whether I will be able to send my kid abroad for further studies. If she has to pursue her career in India, does she be able to qualify the competitive exams in India? Will she be able to compete with the other national board students for IIT/IIM entrance examinations?
Totally confused....please advise

I know it is too early to think off.....but I do not want to change the school, once decided.

Hi Bindoo,

I am also looking for IGCSE schools as I found the curriculum very advanced and practical. The feedback that I have received on the curriculum is that since it is more advanced and inculcates practical knowledge, the child should be able to get through entrance exams just with few months of special coaching.

Could you please let me know the fee structure of Sancta Maria school? Any feedback that you have got will also be helpful.

Sancta maria - for this academic year the fees for Nursery is @1.5lac including food and books, stationary and excluding transport. Extra 75000/- as admission fee and 25000/- is caution deposit (refundable). Another 5000/- for uniform. Transportation starts from 18000/- depending on the distance. I got this info from school. I am not able to give details of exact amount as I don't have that paper presently at office. But it would be + 10000/- as I remembered.
I visited Manthan school (tellapur) last week, They have a integrated curriculum (IGCSE + CBSE) till grade VIII and then student can chose either CBSE or IGCSE for XI and X. I found this amazing and we can have some to think off. I liked the school and kept it as my second choice after Sancta maria.

In some posts there is a mixed response for Manthan.
Can anyone suggest the best schools in the decreasing order of preference from below list. I am looking for a school where management is open for feedback from parents and all round development of child.
The list that I currently have is as below
Kennedy High The Global School, Oakridge International School, Sancta Maria International School, Chirec International
Jain Heritage and Ambitus World School.
Please help me finding correct school. I am looking for joining in 3rd grade.
