Dear All,
I would like to know how is Cornerstone Public School,Chandanagar for PP1 2016-17 year. When I call to School, they ask me to visit 2nd week of Nov. Any idea about this school like fee and school timings for PP1?
I am living in Miyapur, is there any good school near by? I have seen so many school reviews but most of them have negative feedback including DAV/Silver Oks/....
Please let me know.

I had visited already but need parent feedback whose children are studying there.
The school premises is good and in peaceful residential area. They took the play ground on lease for 20 years (guess) and under lily foundation. They purely run it as per CBSE.(not a mix)
Admission fee: 25000/-
for UKG : 14000 per term x 3 terms
smart board fee: 3000/-
Annual fee: 7500/-
Books and uniform:10000/-
Transportation: 8000 to 18000/- depending on distance.
Donation is less comparing with other schools but academic fees is more in comparing with same level vista school.
Infrastructure is OK, but want to know about the teacher's, management attitude and academic strengths, implementation of extra curricular activities.

Hi all,

Today i took my kids for admission test in corner stone public school. My kid wrote admission test, They told they will call on 16.12.15.
But, They had increased the admission fee to Rs.35000/-
and tution fee by 10% more than earlier.
Sibling discount is there of 10%, and concession on admission fee. very strict in their terms.
at present the strength in each calss was not increased more than 20, looking at their black board attendance block.
They are going to fill the gap to 30 per class.

Hello Keerthi!
How is cornerstone school s doing?

Sweety007 2018-06-20 08:29:38

Cornerstone got CBSE affiliation. Too much homeworks daily. Extra curricular activitirs are not effective enough. Management very very authoritative. Generally school is ok. But there is a difference of opinion with parent they harass the child like anything.

I got the admission for my kid in cornerstone school. They have taken a test before confirming the admission.

@kamyasrinath, there are 3 -4 seats available for grade I itseems. I suggest to visit the school and check with the management.

Parents who are aware with the reviews of cornerstone public school , please post the same.

What are the different fee ?

LathaSathya 2020-01-07 22:36:01

One of the good school in this area.. Fees 2019-20 grade I was around 1.3L including transport..

ams73 2020-05-24 23:40:25

Here you go:

  • It's just another school following the same method as followed by many other privately-owned so-called "good" schools.
  • The fee is probably slightly lower than the comparatively established brands in Hyderabad, but if you live a bit far away from the school then including transport it becomes almost 1.5L per annum.
  • They increase the fee every year, but without any increase in the quality of education (nothing new, it's the case in most schools).
  • In the last few years, they had changed their uniform about 2 times. So if you're economically conscious and want the well-kept uniforms of your elder kid to be used by the younger one next year, then sorry, that may not happen, it may change in the meantime.
  • My kid was there for quite some years after switching from another school and the only benefit I noticed was that his spoken English had improved. But English is just a medium of communication, it's not knowledge in itself in my opinion; hence just knowing good English may not make the future of the kid bright.
  • Your child can't do good in his/her studies if you don't pay personal attention to it. The education provided by just the school is neither good to bring him/her good marks in exams nor enough to make him/her really knowledgeable.
  • You may go to their office, the staff is nice, if you say your concerns they'll listen, but as usual, they'll finally do what they are instructed by the management to do.
  • Many people try for their children in this school and don't get a seat. That's not because it's a very high-end school and takes only talented children. Rather that's because they don't have ample infrastructure to accommodate a lot more.
  • The school doesn't celebrate any religious/cultural festivals, so teaching the kids about Indian culture remains with the parents only.
  • The only possible advantage of this school is if you stay somewhere nearby, then the travel time for your kid will be very less. Also, I've not heard any concerns related to the safety of the children in this school.
Well, I don't have anything particularly against this particular school, most schools in Hyderabad are like this. There very few schools I've heard to be good, where getting admission is a nightmare; all others are just business houses where we're compelled to send our kids and pay whatever they demand, because there's no better option.

This is my experience, not cribbings. I hope it'll be helpful to some.

If you're searching for a really good school, it can only be your home. You may even think of homeschooling your children and make them appear in the board exams conducted by IGCSE or NIOS.
