Hi RKS
I wanted have some info from u, as u seemed to have applied in Nasr.

RKS2612 2015-03-30 19:56:17

Hi aman01
Yes we put our daughter in nursery for this academic year. The child has to be 3 years plus for applying in nursery. Fees is around 1k excluding transport.

deeps01 2015-03-31 13:10:42

The fee for PP1&2 is 99, 980 . we need to pay the fees for both the years in PP1 itself . the dead line to pay the fee is may 30th

aman01 2015-04-01 10:18:09

Thanks RKS and deeps for quick response and the information.
If I understand correct fee for Nursery is 1lk, and pp1&2 together is another 1lk. How does it go forward from 1st standard? What is the history of increase in fee per year?
Please also share info on what is the criteria for staff to consider admission?

Thanks in advance again.

Hi Aman01,
The admissions are over in NASR fo this academic year , however you could approach the management directly and check. I'm not too sure of the fees from 1st standard onwards but presume it should be much less than the pre-primary. The inrease in fees is also not that drastic compared to many other schools who keep pressurising parents ever year with fee hike . I have shared whatever i know about the school , however feel free to check from other sources too regarding fees . Their office staff is quite approachable and will be able to inform you regarding fees for primary onwards.
Thanks....

Hi, can we approach nasr pre primary school now for admission?
looking for my daughters admission to pp2.

RKS2612 2015-04-04 11:42:52

Hi aman01,
They usually start giving admission forms from 1st week december followed by personal interview with parents. The shortlisted candidates are called for another final interview and the selected candidates are notified .

aman01 2015-04-06 10:04:07

Hi Basthu,
The age criteria for Nasr is that the kid should be 3.5 years by June 2015, for the admission in nursery(2015-16)

bashu 2015-04-06 12:09:05

Ok , so my son will b 3yrs 9 months in june which should b ok, they took my other son at that age,
when do they give out the forms for this academic year?

aman01 2015-04-06 16:42:45

Hi Bashu,
I guess the admission procedure started in Dec14 and should have been completed by now.
But as ur case is sibling, i think you can approach the staff at the school.
BTW, for my info. How old is your son now and is in which class? How do you/he find the school to be? How easy was the admission?

bashu 2015-04-06 19:14:45

My son just passes into pp2 now, they have a separate section mostly of boys , and the teacher thats gonna teach them has previously won the best teacher awards, (sakeena is her name)
also, i love the way nasr treats children n polishes them.. Over all grooming, couldnt
think of another school better than this , - iv also been a student of nasr so i know this from inside the school - personal experience,
had heard some rumors abt boys school being not that good bit thats years ago when it was new.. Its 10 years old now and they have a very good principal , from the army, id really recommend nasr

bashu 2015-04-06 19:17:28

He is five now, admission was not an issue , they just check the body language of the kid or ask a random question or two, had no prob again because i was a student too AND my older daughter is in class three now

aman01 2015-04-08 13:47:05

Gr8 to know this bashu. You seem to have a complete Nasr family :)
I guess you have both son and daughter in the same school. So could you share some more info.
As these two locations are nearly 15km apart, how do you manage kids travel? Do you completely depend on school transport, and was ever any difficult situation that you had to manage both schools at the same time?

bashu 2015-04-08 14:57:50

They both go by school bus , never had a problem shuttling between them because the school authorities know most kisa n siblings are in both schools so they keep separate timings for the parent teacher meets, so reports can be conveniently picked up one after the other

bashu 2015-04-08 19:22:18

No messages , lets just stick to this forum , thanks

aman01 2015-04-09 17:41:59

Thanks bashu for helpful details.
Does the school have good/comfortable transport network in the city ( e.g kukatpally, miyapur )

I guess you had done some research on other schools too. If so were you able to find any other schools of equivalent standard of Nasr? Do suggest from your experience.

RKS2612 2015-04-10 10:58:18

Hi Bashu,
Could you please let me know what would be the fees in 1st standard onwards.
Regards,
RKS2612

cdacpenguin 2015-04-28 10:04:34

Hi Aman
My kid along with one more had been travelling from Miyapur and Kukatpally respectively in the last year. We car pooled them. If you are interested please revert. It was convenient just because bus facility from school was starting at 6:15 in the morning. I doubt any of our kids would get ready by then .. ;) including we parents. So, just preferred car pooling.
regards

Totally agree...i came from qatar and my daughter joined pp2,everything was so advanced and new to her...she hadent started two letter words in pp1in DPS doha, she joined mrs.sakeenas class, and theres no looking back...she has ALWAYS been the best support to my child, very patient, very loving and always available to help, even now wen zunayra is in class 2,yearsyou ask her and she says sakeena mam is her favorite teacher in the world.
cannot thank mrs.sakeena enough for her support.we need teachers like her who are actually second parents for our kids.

Hi cdacpenguin
I applied for admission for my Kid in Nasr-Pre Primary School . I think your kid is already studying in Nasr . Could you provide valuable feedback . I Prefer ICSE syllabus over CBSE but Nasr Age cutoff for PP1 is 4 Yrs . I will need to Join in 1 class lesser . whats your suggestion on this . Is ICSE syllabus tougher than CBSE ??

Pl provide valuable feedback on below points

1. will the kids been taught about all kinds of cultures?

2. to what extent they will concentrate on extra cirricular activities ?

3. how about the academics there.. are the teachers good.. even in the upper grades as well?

4. what about the transport facility?

Hi Prav
I also had the same apprehension in the beginning. But somehow IMHO a year really does not matter when we consider the education span of our kids. In fact I experienced few related few facts during my kids education at Nasr in the last three years (Nursery, PP1 and PP2):
1. My kid, as compared to other kids which I see, of his same age, exhibits much more maturity in terms of his skills of learning eg. learning to spell by breaking the word rather by hearting it, relate what he learnt in school to real life eg. he makes sure that we switch of lights and fans in the house when not needed because his teacher told him to "go green".
2. He learnt to read and write a bit late than his peers from other schools in my apartment. But that did not bother me since he eventually did learn that. Though late, but I guess he learnt it the right way.
3. His math techniques of addition, subtraction, and sorting was systematic and easy for him to grasp. I dont know the name of those techniques, but one of those for sorting, me and my wife named it ourself as the "tick technique" .. ;)

I have no regret putting him a year later, not because his grasping capacity is low, but just because I experienced that he learns much better way with that one year of maturity. So in my opinion just dont worry about that unless you as parents have a peer pressure comparing with other kids.... :) which I guess is not worth it.

When it comes to ICSE and CBSE.. this is something you have to take view by yourself..Anyways, that additional year gets you a benefit there..your kid will get adjusted to that environment of learning too many subjects at same time..  As you rightly said its a bit comprehensive, but they get a good scope of exposure to various subjects...
Actually our kids are much capable to grasp more than we think...
That was too boring and lengthy, but just wanted to share my personal experience. Hope it was helpful.

Mahesh
