My son is 4.5 years old currently studying in LKG, He is mild autistic having language and attention problem. I am looking for an inclusive school in Secunderabad, if possible near Bowenpally.
He is good in academics, can read English and Hindi alphabets, many words as well and understands numbers and can write most of the English alphabets. Today, I inquired in some schools, but unfortunately they refused right after hearing 'autistic'. I am a bit worried now about his admission as his current school is only till UKG.
Why don't you try the waldorf schools. I heard abhaya waldorf school accepts autistic children and it should be near to you too. And their methodology will also suit your child. Please inquire.
Shloka school near APPA junction and Unicent school Nagole also accept autistic children, but they are far from your place.
Dont worry when they refuse to take admissions. As suggested by URP70, try in Abaya waldorf
. it is close to your place and I am sure it suits to your kid. If teachers/parents are giviging proper care then these kids will do wonders in future... i am sure about it..
wish you good luck to you and your kid..
Thanks Ujala and Balaji for your suggestions, me and my wife are starting to visit different schools starting this Saturday. We will surely visit Abhaya waldrof, we are mainly looking for a school where teachers understand my son's condition and help him study and learn just like other students.
Yes, you should join in a school where teachers understand him and provide the special care where ever required. Also check for Teacher Student ratio, try to join him where 1:20 is the ratio. Thank you.
Have you visited any school? Recently i heard about SPARSH in secundeerabad. where they have specical care for autism kids and teacher students ratio in school is 1:5. Any body have reviews about SPARSH?
