I will be moving to Hyderabad in the month of April and my office is in Kondapur. Iam looking for an ICSE or CBSE school for my son with UKG admission.

My son has done his LKG in an ICSE board school in chennai.

Can someone please help me in giving me the list of schools these areas.

My first preference will be ICSE and then CBSE

Hi Battala,

Most of the schools near Kondapur area are following CBSE or IB (PYP,MYP,DP) or IGCSE(CIE).  IB and CIE curriculum are internationally recognized and can be found in International and some global schools.

Future Kids is a well known ICSE school . The one which is near Kondapur starts from 1st std. The Playgroup is in Jubilee Hills. But I am afraid , the admissions into PP2 must  have closed by now.

You can have the details from its website

Its a very good ICSE school.

NASR- Boys is also considered to be a good ICSE school with plenty of acitivities. But the pre-primary school is in Somajiguda which is quite far from Kondapur.

If you can go till Banjara Hills (around 10km) , you can have KALPA. Its a good ICSE school. It has got reviews from parents in this forum.

Niraj Public school in Ameerpet ,Johnson'sGrammar school in Secbad ,HPS , Geetanjali in Begumpet  will be  far from Kondapur.

There are plenty of good CBSE schools like

DPS , Euroschool  , Sentia  -The global , Chirec (CBSE and CIE), Kennedy High Global , The Creek , Silver Oaks (follows IB-pyp from kindergarten till 5th and then CBSE),

Vikas- The concept school (cbse), Maharshi Vidya Mandir (CBSE), Oakridge International ( CBSE , IB (PYP) and IGCSE)  ,Jain International (CBSE and IGCSE)

If you can go a bit far till Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills , You will have Meridian,Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Jubilee Hills Public School(JHPS),P Obul Reddy Public school and Sloka.

In most of the schools ,admissions are closed. You can try in Euroschool , Kennedy High Global , MVM, Vikas ,Sloka. If you are ready to spend ,you can easily get in Oakridge International, Orchids International ,Jain International.

I have given websites of these schools in many of the discussions in this forum. You can go to various discussion posts and know the feedback of parents about different schools.

I have mentioned the websites of schools in kondapur in a reply to beeneedi Venkat

There are a couple of other discussion posts too which will help u to decide a school.

Hi Mickey,

Thanx for being such a helpful member of the community. I am interested in knowing about Jain international school. How is the admission test for 1st graders, do they focus on extra-curricular activities, etc?

mickey 2010-09-13 11:34:51

Hi Droy,

Are u lookng for this academic year or next academic year. The admissions are still in progress for this year. You can see in its website.

It is a good school with many activities.  I have to come to know about it from a parent in this forum.  The fee is already mentioned in its website. Please write to lajo through parentree inbox to know more about this school.

For class 1 , it is 1 lakh 13 k +13,500 (transport).

Hi Mickey,

Thanx for the vital input.

My family is actually planning to shift from Japan next academic year and we wanted to have some information about reasonably-priced international schools (like Manthan) and also Vikas and Sentia. My wife and son will probably rent an apartment and stay in Miyapur or nearby areas. My son is currently 4 years and 4 months. If we reach Hyderabad around first week of Feb, 2011, would that be good enuf to get admission in the above-mentioned schools? In another discussion thread you mentioned getting admission for the primary grades are relatively easier for these schools. We are looking for a easier admission process in Grade 1 because everything here is in Japanese and language will be an issue for him to start with. We will probably look for French as 2nd language, something he will be able to use in the gloabl marketplace.

We value ur input and will be happy to have suggestions.

We are moving to Hyderabad,India in December. We have a 9 year ols and he will be in the middle of his 4th grade by the time we move (2012). Please let us know What are the schools that we should apply in where he is likely to get admission. We do not have any family in Hyderabad so will appreciate any input / feedback / experience.

 Hi Kamal,
I think, you could try in Sentia & Vikas  in Miyapur,
Manthan, Merdian & GlobalEdge in Madhapur,
Jain Heritage n Sanskriti in Kondapur,
The Creek in Bachupally,
Phoenix Greens in Gachibowli .

Chances are bright in the above mentioned  schools. Chances of getting into Chirec, DPS , BVB, JHPS, P  Obul Reddy, HPS, Chinmaya  are remote.

You could have a look at the interested schools after coming to HYd and decide accordingly. You do not have to block any seat in advance.

Hi Mickey,

Can you plesae give details about fee structure and feedbacks for GlobalEdge and Sanskrit?

mickey 2012-06-26 13:07:06

 Hi Adiavi,

I don't have the exact fee details. But the fee isn't high as compared to DPS n Chirec.

Global Edge was known as Euroschool before. You could look for Sankriti's reviews in this forum by using the search engine found  above.

Both are good schools. However GlobalEdge lacks a big playground.

 Hi Adaivi,
Pl go through the below link for Sanskriti. You will find mixed reviews. You could personally go and check it out by talking to the other parents as well.

Thanks for quick reply....I stay in Rainbow vista (near Malaysian township)...can you please suggest good schools (fee should be >70-80 k) for LKG kid?  Even if I don't get admission this session I can think of next yr admission...

mickey 2012-06-26 17:08:28

 Hi Adiavi,

You could try CGR International, Global Edge , Manthan International, Prerna Waldorf n Phoenix Greens (Gachibowli).

Manthan n Phoenix Greens might slighly exceed your budget. You could try for the above mentioned schools even now.

If you are ready to send your kid a bit far in private transport, you could try BVB, JHPS and P Obul Reddy  too next yr. The fees will be within your budget. You will however have to pay high donation in JHPS (1 lakh or so).

DPS (Madhapur/Khajaguda) would be near but it exceeds your budget.

Hi Mickey,

Do you have any feedback on BVB, Jubilee Hills? I was told it is a good school but recently some parents told me that communication skills are not good and children are unable to speak fluently in English.

Also, as your daughter is studying in Nasr I wanted to know if it is possible to get admission into LKG for Nasr. Also, what are the 3rd languages offered in Nasr from Class V or Class IV. Please could you provide info.

 Hello Kdewan san,

Even we have shifted  from Japan in 2010 and we are staying now in Miyapur and I have a 5year old daughter who is going to DAV public school in Miyapur. We got admission into Vikas but after checking all the wash rooms and the response from teachers we have cancelled the admission and chose DAV.I think everyone has got their own experiences. So please go and check yourselves to get the clear idea about the schools.

Please let me know if you want any details.
