I have visited Epistemo Global School last week and got to know that issuance of application forms for admission (Academic Year 2015-16) for 1st Std would start in november 2014 (1st or 2nd Week).
Infrastructure is good where as the play ground is very small. As i have visited on weekend and couldn't interact with teachers/staffs.
I would like to know and understand the feedback on the school from the parents whose childrens are studying in the same school.
Feedback would help other parents to take decision.
Thanks in Advance
I am also thinking about that school for my kid. I am looking for PP1 admission for next year. Do you have any idea about the fee structure ,etc?
I stay in BHEL New MIG .
Thanks for your help.
They have not finalized on the fee structure but got some fair indicator which could come upto 1.18 - 1.20 Lacs/annum excluding transporation.
Do you have any feedback about the school.
Parents who have info/feedback on the school would be helpful....
Thanks in advance
I didn't have any feedback about the school. I am just enquiring about it.
I just visited VISTA school, which is managed by pearson. It looks good infrastructure wise. Need to en quire with the parents.
visited the school again in last Saturday 8th Nov 2014 .Now fees are finalized.I am planning for my kid into Grade1.
For Grade 1-V Fee is Rs 88,100(Annual Fee which will increase min of 10% every year ) + Lunch Fee+ Transportation fee
One Time Admission Fee Rs.50000 + Rs.10000(Refundable caution Deposit)
For Grade1 admission total fee will be Rs148000 + Transportation Fee + Lunch Fee(Optional)
Are u serious that the fee mentioned above is for this academic year...ohh God!!....it was some where around 1lac last year (Read in other parentree threads) and it is somewhere up by 50% this year....
Do you have any idea about the schools in the same area (My budget is around 50K)
Parents please revert if you have any information regarding the schools which are in the vicinity of Lingampally/Nallangandla/Tellapur/Gopanapally etc
Thanks in advance.
Whats the new fee structure for KG in Epistemo, does anyone have info on this ?
For UKG it is around 78K Annual fee + remaining all are same like Donation/Development fee +causion deposit +transportation
Hi Sridhar, thanks for the information. I was looking for the fee structure and i got that from your note. How are the academics.
Do they give work sheets for kids every day? Do they have the class tests evry day? I am sorry to ask these but I find these are the best procedures followed by Sangamitra.
Have our son there- they do have test sheets and homework almost everyday. Emphasis on academics reduced from last year, as many parents have complained against it (it would have been good if they continued though). Emphasis on the examinations also reduced (dont know why Vikas is doing such thing). Last year- they had Monday/Thursday examinations every week- published well ahead. It was kind of good for the student to prepare and be competitive. But now teachers, if they remember, they will tell the parents on the examinations. But no publishing the schedule, etc. In one way it has reduced the "burden" on the parents for the preparation because they dont know when the examinations occur- but the flipside is that the student will take it 'as it comes'.
They increased fee 34% this year and school is not up to mark. Teaching staff is also not properly trained,
Fee structure is also not less than any other good reputed schools in hyd. Overall….Not satisfied with academic, extra circular activities. The way of conducting PTM is worst.
The only reason i joined my kid is because of Koteswar Rao sir, have high respect for him. Ofcourse it was then principal RaviChandran(?) as well. But later realized Ravi was just hired for admissions.
More and more I see this as any other traditional school - learn by rote. I am not sure if this is worth spending so much money for doing this.
For pre primary kids - i see lot of "home work" - not sure how they expect kids not even 4 years old to remember up to 50 numbers, before and after numbers up to 50. As per Pankajam - "Pre-Primary Education- Philosophy and Practice " page 190- "Learning number concept is difficult for children. .. Young childrens concepts of number above 10 are generally vague and confused"
I hope the teachers do understand how teaching has been evolving and more stress on activity based learning rather than by rote. If not it wouldnt take too much time for the reputation to go down.
Is it just me looking at this way? what do you all think?
We are looking to change from EG to some other school, not at all satisfied. school performance is decreasing year by year. Still they did not come out of conventional methodologies.
I will not recommend.
Did you got any decent school in your budget in mentioned areas (vicinity of Lingampally/Nallangandla/Tellapur/Gopanapally etc). i am also looking for same.. Thanks
Unreasonable increase in fee every year. Sparing 1 or 2, even the spoken English of the teachers are pathetic. Only folks who stay in and around Nallagandla join their kids purely on location basis and nothing else. Not worth it. I'm looking at shifting and exploring options
Avoid at all costs is my advice. Unreasonably high fees for the quality of teachers they have. Teachers are of very low quality, have almost no knowledge of what they are teaching ,have utterly poor English skills and are highly unresponsive. Management is only interested in your money. They do nothing to improve quality. Most people come here only because the school is close by to home. If you happen to put your kid here you cant imagine how disappointed you will be with the teachers.
You seem to be a competent person to ask about the school as your kids have been studying there since last 3-4 years. I see your thoughts about the school have been mostly negative. You also mentioned several times that you will withdraw your children. But as per your recent post, it seems your kids are still there. Is this a trick to blackmail the school? ;-)
Did your kid study in the school? If so in which class? Your views about the school are also negative. Which classed did they study in? Want informstion about 3rd grade. Have been to othrr schools nearby but this one seems to be on the better side.
Thanks in advance
Got my kid admitted in Epistemo. My personal experience has been great. I did have to wait for the interaction to be over, but everything was explained to me in detail. There are a few things that my son needs to work on. I was told that the special educator will take a few classes for him and he would be ok in a few weeks. I knew that my son needed extra help, but didn't know that the school could make that out just by interacting with him for a few minutes. Best part is, I do not have to pay anything extra for that.
We got the uniform, books etc. without any hassle at all. He has started attending the school since last week. He got adjusted and has even made a few friends.
Till now it's all been smooth sailing. I have not experienced what others have written.
Thanks for your inputs Mr. Dhurendar. Forgot to mention it. :-)
