Dear Sir,
My son is now in UKG and I am planning to admit him in any one of the Schools in Class I next year (KV Picket, St. Andrews, Bhavans Sainikpuri, DAV).
I want your guidance in choosing the best one.  I want a school which gives importance to education as well as extra circular activities like sports, music, abacus, vedic maths etc.  and which is not too harsh towards the children.  It should take personal care and attention.
Please guide me, as I am planning to put him in one school till 10th or 12th, as available in that school.
Regards
Naveen

Dear Naveen,

Its difficult to secure a seat in the schools you have mentioned. So you may consider applying in all of them and choose from schools where your child gets selected.

Naveen,

HPS, Begumpet is ICSE; while the HPS in Ramanthapur is CBSE. Both are renowned schools, and very structured, so it may not be an easy task to get a seat there. The admission notification for these schools was put in DeccanChronicle about a week ago, so you better hurry up.

You must be knowing that St. Andrew's has three branches, Bowenpally, Marredpally and Keesara. All CBSE. No notification for admissions has been given yet. The school has a huge campus and infrastructure but on the flipside is crowded with high class strengths (like Bhavans or DAV).

Hi Naveen,

From my view:
-> Suchitra Academy: Great campus and infrastructure and very impressive activities (from their youtube videos). Low class strength (as compared to DAV, Bhavans or St. Andrews). Fees is obviously higher. Relatively new school.

We were interested in this school because of low class strengths. But had to opt out because of the high fees and distance. Also a parent on Parentree (whose child goes to Suchitra) has strongly recommended me not to opt for it because she felt that 'what you see is not what you get'. But I have got very positive reviews as well (out of which, some of the reviews (on other websites like Mouthshut) appeared fake (seemed like it was the school's PR's work)). Also heard that the management was the same that run Indus World School in Yapral (which was a fiasco) and so didn't bother about Suchitra again.

-> St. Andrews: Great campus and sports (mostly after school, so you should be prepared). High class strength. Fees is lower to Suchitra. Experienced management and academically good.

We were interested in this school because of the things mentioned above. However, the major drawback for us is the distance (Bowenpally or Keesara for my elder child; Marredpally would be fine for my younger one though). Their school bus network is good, but still my children would require to be away from home for long (school hours + travel time).
