Hi Mickey,
You are giving excellent suggestions! I feel you will help me out also.
Can you please suggest which school is better near to kukatpally for my kid to join in LKG. My budget is around 30 to 35K.
Please suggest me.
Regards,
Manohar. M
Hi Mickey,
Today is my 1st day at this discussion forum and I can see your name all around who has provided people very valuable suggestions to parents. I too need your help to decide the school for my kid's admission in particularly CBSE board(near Kukatpalli) and I have budget around 60-80K p.a.
Some of my neighbours are sending their kids to Silver oaks and thay are very much happy with the school as pressure is minimum on the kids. But what confuse me, they have IB up to class 5th and CBSE from 6th onwards. How can I differenciate IB from CBSE? Will I face any problem in getting admission in any CBSE school, if I get transferred to some other city in next 2-3 years? How IB syllabus shapes up kids academic foundation.
Also, can you let me know your feedback for Silver oaks school (not to much concerned about the cement factory as I will look for some other arrangement for transportation)?
can you suggest some other good CBSE schools in Kukatpally area, which doesn't put to much pressure on kids? I would like to mention that my kid is relatively slow learner as of now and he is 3.5 years old and now he is in nursery in smary kids play school.
Regards
Vikas

Hi Vikas, IB- PYP program is very good. But u need to look into it if you are having a transferable job as it has to still evolve in Indian schools. You might not find this curriculum in schools where u may get transferred. I will consult my friends whose kids are in IB and get back to you.
Regards,
Mickey
Hi Mickey,
Thanks for your very prompt response. I will wait for your further reply.
So, my criteria is,
- Good CBSE board (won't mind if it's easy to get transferred from IB to CBSE, in case I am relocated.), which can help my kid to build up good foundation. I spoke to the teachers in the silveroaks and they said that their curriculum is CBSE board but methodoloy is IB. what could this mean?
- Fee structure like 60-80K.
- School should be good enough looking the fact that my son is a slow learner (pressure shouldn't be that huge).
- Teachers pay enough attention
Also, please let me know your feedback on silveroaks and if there is any other good schools, which I can opt for in and aroung JNTU circle(7-8 KM radius)? I am totally confused about the schools. But that for sure that I want my son to study in CBSE board in long run.
I appreciate all your help.

Vikas
Hi Vikas,
IB PYP curriculum supports children’s learning through their natural curiosity. Students are encouraged to ask questions, to critically reflect on their learning and to participate in extensions of learning beyond the classroom. It is more application oriented. Students get a chance to explore many things if the curriculum is followed properly. However, there are no exams in this curriculum.
I have spoken to Shailajakaranam who is very much experienced with IB curiculum and conducts regular workshops for various schools and parents too giving them general awareness. I will send her contact number through the inbox so that u can talk to her personally and attend her workshop which she conducts usually on Sunday for parents in Hi-Tech city. She is also a member of parentree. You could write to her through inbox.
I spoke to one of my relatives too who teaches in an International school in N.Delhi. I have been told that the IB-PYP program is too good and children will not face problem in getting adjusted with CBSE later. Transition to CBSE is not a problem. I think Silver Oaks will conduct regular assessment tests too. Please check out. If such tests are conducted, then your daughter will not have a problem in getting adjusted to CBSE in other schools in case u plan to shift or get transferred.
These days CBSE has become stress free. There are no exams till class 5. Regular assessment tests are being conducted and grades are given. In higher classes too, CCE (continuous comprehensive evaluation) is being followed. The Board exam in class 10 is optional.
You can also try in Manthan International (Madhapur), Sentia -The Global in Miyapur. You can read very good reviews of Manthan Intl in this forum by Seema n Atul, Harsha and Mithai. Their kids are studying in Manthan and the school believes in stress free education. Harsha has given his phno in his blog. You can talk to him too.
In Manthan ,CBSE/NCERT Syllabus is taught using international curriculum frameworks of Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) of University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). You can look for details in its website.
Your child will not have problem even if u opt for a pure CBSE school later on.

Silver Oaks is issuing the forms too. If interested pl collect the forms.

Hi,
Can anyone please share the contact details of DPS Playschool at Nizampet road, Hyderabad.
Regards,
Padma
Hi Padma,
Below are the contact details of DPS playschool, Nizampet.
+91 9618374307 , 040-23151060.
I think DRS Kids at Vasanth Nagar near Nizampet is much better. When my friend visited DPS playschool in Nizampet, she found the main lady who is in charge of the school neglecting the children who were crying and also sounded a bit rude.
May be u too could visit personally and get convinced before taking any decision about this school.

Mickey
Hi Bala,
I don't know any parent from Sanghamitra. The reviews i have are just word of mouth.

Hi Mickey,
I have just registered in Parentree and this is my first post. Have gone through different discussion threads about good schools in Hyderabad.
We are currently in Bangalore and will be moving to Hyd around Apr 2012. We would be near Gajula Ramaram, 5 km from JNTU, Kukatpally. My daughter is studying 3rd class currently and would be in 4th, when we move to Hyd.
After going through many of your reviews/suggestions, I have zeroed on the following schools, which offer CBSE curriculum.
Sentia, Chinamaya Vidyalaya (Begumpet), BVB (BHEL/Jubilee hills) , DRS Internation School and The Creeks.
Not sure, how far are these schools from Gajula Ramaram place. My budget is around 40-70K per annum.
Please suggest the good schools in the order. Also, if there is (are) other school(s), which I am not aware of, please let me know.
Thanks & Regards
DeviSarada.
Hi DeviSarada,
You can look for schools near Miyapur, Kondapur, Madhapur, Bachupally Gachibowli if u are 5kms away from JNTU.
From the list of schools which u have specified, you could prefer Sentia, BVB (Bhel) &The Creek (in Bachupally)
All the above mentioned schools can be in your budget. Apart from these, u can have a look at
Vikas-The concept School in Miyapur( near Sentia),
MVM and Sanskriti school in Kondapur,
Prerna Waldorf school, Phoenix Greens in Gachibowli and
Euroschool, CGR International, Manthan International, Meridian &DPS in Madhapur.
Meridian, Manthan , Phoenix & DPS might not be within your budget.
Rgds,
Mickey

Hi AHS n Pavani ( ammulus),Sadhu Vaswani is a good school.
You could also try The Creek ,Silveroaks or Kennedy Global in Bachupally.
Prefer Silveroaks first if the distance suits you.
