I am also staying in Begumpet, and looking for LKG admission in Chinmaya vidyalaya.. i heard that they will be giving forms from 12Dec'13.
It would be great if any give feedback @ school and Fee structures...
I came to know that it is very good school which not only concentrates in curriculum but also overall development.
Yes admission registration starts in 1st of week of December. They will have a personal interview with the child it seems.I am not sure about the fee structure.

Hi Rhurka and all,
You could refer to the below link and see my review about Chinmaya Vidyalaya.http://www.parentree.in/India/Hyderabad/1489-good-schools-in-and-around-begumpet/pg1
@shailaja, for higher grades, admissions usually take place after March depending on the vacancies.
Please call up and find out.
You could also submit a letter to the school correspondent to inform you incase any vacancy arises.
The link provided has review which is 2 yrs old. Do you still hear positive about Chinamaya?
Is it true that the reputation is slowly declining?
Is it still the best option ?
Parents of Chinmaya and P Obul reddy..
Please share your views about the school, how well the management & teachers are approachable etc ?
my daughter is in chinmaya ukg.the school is good.there is not so much other activies but its ok.the study is good.
and also one thing i want to share is that chinmaya school is very spiritual. My daughter is now just 5 years old and she knows the bhagwatgeetas shlokas byhard.Teachers teaches there daily some shlokas.
Now a days there is no one school who teaches the bhagwatgeeta n all.she knows so many sanskrut shlokas also other than bhagwatgeeta.and i like this so much that my daughter learn these with good studies.
and thanku MICKYJI you give me right information about chinmaya school.
Hi Raaga Sailja ji, Could you please share the reason why you intended to change from Silver Oaks to Chinmaya? I am thinking of Silver Oaks for my son, So appreciate your quick insight into this.

Thanks for your post, Can i know how is education quality in Chinmayi school? Will they concentrate on Communication skills ?
Thanks a lot Aashul. I too have the same question of harishmamidipelli
How are the communication skills at Chinmaya? What are the other basic activities of the school- like sports, arts, music?
Is the school 5 day week or 6 day week?
is the management and teachers specially approachable? My daughter is in class I now and I am looking forward for class II.
Other Parents of Chinmaya, request to please share your current education feedback.
any further updates here ?
I am also curious like SrinivasB,
Dear Raaga and Sailja, please give your feedback about silver oaks.
education quality is good in chinmaya. In lkg they were slow in the first term but after that they speed up.n that was ok.In other activities there are drawing craft.they teach dance for annual day only.and music will start from 1st class.and almost activities will start from class l .the school is for 5 days in a week.from 5 std 6 days.
overall the school is good.
Thanks Aashul. That was really helpful.
Any idea when Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan LKG admissions wills start?
Thanks Aashul for the information, so as per your review the school is good
Hi Anshu, Is there transport facility at chinmaya? A year back I had heard there is no school bus for chinmaya. Please guide.
since your kids r in silver oaks I am,Asuming u stay some where
near the school. Now chinmaya will be very far from, silver oaks, Does chinmaya have a transport or else how will you manage...asking because I stay at miyapur and have dropped chinmaya specifically because it does not have. Transport.
Can anyone tell me @ fee structure at Chinmaya and teacher to student class ratio?
Actually i have a plan to change my house from KPHB to Ameerpet because in Silver oaks the fees are high.
I am very happy with Silver Oaks about studies and as well as communication and other activities also but my concern is only fees . when i joined for my first kid its ok but now they are increased fees and every time they will charged for annual fee for every year that also increases every year. tuition fee, transport also increases every year (drastic) . now my second kid also studying there ....
Comparing with chinmayi ................... so expensive . But i can't change my kids ..... i am planning to move nizampet road then transport charges may be less because i don't want to lose that type of school education ( i impressed a lot )
Hi - Has anyone got any information if Chinmaya has own transport... Does anyone of the existing parent has any route info ?
It would be very helpful if we can get this information. Thanks.
Called up the school and found they do not have any transport facility. Is there any private arrangement / shared services known to existing parents at Chinmaya ?
Why r u not considering Hillside Academy as one of your options? I don't know where you stay, but that school should be close to Banjara Hills, and they have transportation. I have read good reviews in this forum, though don't have any one known whose kid study there..
My kid is studying in Chinmaya and there is private transportation to this school. there are vans, autos runs from different places. some kids even commute from Alwal. but it is always better to move to near by area for the benefit of the kid.
Thanks for the information. I stay in Rd No 12 BHills and Hillside will be relatively closer. Hillside is also in my list but not in Top5 primarily as it is not as reputed and established compared to some other big names. Also three quick management changes is also an aspect to think about. I have also seen some really positive review on this school and so it is definitely on my list. I have even called up the school a few days back and I felt that it is relatively easy to get admission in this school. So, for now trying for better options and hillside will be the backup plan. :)
Hi Swathi - Thanks for that information. Really valuable as I am considering Chinmaya as an option. Are you as well using the private transportation. We stay in Rd No 12 Bhills, so it is around 6KMs from my place. Can you please let us know which class your kid is in and are you happy with the school with overall development of your kid in studies and other activities. What is the best way to find and approach these private Transport .. Thank you !
I too have similar set of questions about Chinmaya as shona2010 have.
Request to please share more info about the school since your child is in Chinmaya. Heard there had been frequent changes in the management and was little unstable. How is the education at the mid school and high school level? I am trying for class 2 admission for my kid.
Are you really happy with the school and the education methodology there ? what would be the fee structure?
Hi Shona, BhaB,
yes we are using Private Transportation. You don't have to search for the private transportation, once u get the admission you can easily find as they roam around the school area.
My kid is in 1st standard now and it is okay. But at least one parent has to concentrate completely on the kids performance. we have to frequently followup with teachers to understand what is going on. their academic standards are good but at the same time we need to make our kid up to date with their syllabus. there should be much more focus on kids from teachers which is currently lacking in my opinion. But this is purely my view and some parents may have different opinion. the extra activities are there but not at international schools standard levels. I am not sure id i have answered your questions or not.
