Please read my review about it ... I have many friends whose sons are going there
_i would personally not suggest DPS /DRS Brand in Hyderabad to any parent.. First of all they charge heavy fees and child gets all Royal Treatment like AC Bus, classrooms and Mc Donalds Food sometimes and what not. My Friends son has become such a big used to Gadgets and all he is spoiled like anything .. for these schools you dont even need to pass their interview... if you have money you are most welcome... Children are getting really spoiled at DPS/DRS ... my friends son is now a complete IPAD freak and had nearly 400 Friends on his FB and he is just 6 yrs old ... however this is my personal suggestion

Hi, I am looking for LKG admission to my Son, we live in Habsiguda/Uppal.  Johnsons(ICSE) is open only for siblings and did not hear much good about DPS Nacharam as well. Can anyone suggest good schools around Uppal, Nacharam and Habsiguda?

Anyone has visited JHPS? Can anyone share any experiences with JHPS? I heard the school is good in both academic and extra curricular activities. However, still need feedback to think.

amitkum 2013-11-12 11:04:39

DPS is purely commercial school... but quality of education is good ....But children are more likely to get Spoiled in DPS ...i have already seen some Live examples !

kiran4hari 2013-11-12 11:49:35

I think these issues may not be specific to DPS/DRS, it should be the same where schools are charging hefty fees (Chirec/Oakridge/Glendale). There you will have many kids with rich parents or upper middle class.

Little Flower near Uppal is very gud CBSC school which I suggest u which doesn't charges u hi-fi fees n all that. My niece n nephew are studying thr in 3rd & 5th standard and they are top in their class. I really found it very gud, though getting admission is  a bit difficult. But u can give a try if u like it. If I have a chance to join my kid thr , I definately would have given a try.

Wanted to know about Sri Aurobindo Internation , from the parents whose kids are studying at present in that school.

vidhyaramesh 2013-11-13 20:21:06

Hi Kiran,
No I could not go to kokapet campus.. We felt it was a bit too far.. So it is currently the last option for us

kiran4hari 2013-11-13 22:30:11

Yest that is true, we planned to go there this Saturday but they have Annual/Sports day. So they may not allow us in to campus. Any other schools that you have in mind.

Here are the schools I have applied till now

DPS - Registered and had an interaction on Dec 9th. Waiting for call from them
DAV Miyapur - Registered. They will get back around Dec 25th
Silver Oaks - Registered. Having interaction on Dec 16th
Kennedy - Registered. Having interaction on Dec 16th.

Pending to register

JHPS - Dec 11th - 20th

Any idea about Chinmaya when they are giving applications?

vhars 2013-12-12 15:05:47

Some of the schools listed above like DPS, JHPS, BVB, Obul Reddy have class strength of 40 or more. And also have lot of sections for each class. Not sure if the child can get teachers attention in such schools..

svatti 2013-12-12 15:10:58

Yeah I do understand that.
But I have seen kids who are studying in these schools at least in BVB and DPS. And they are really awesome. Hence I am very much interested

dadofprincess 2013-12-12 15:36:00

We have submitted the form at JHPS for PP1 and got the interaction date & time. Any suggestions how much should be a reasonable amount we should quote for the donation to get the seat? They mentioned minimum is 50k.

iamaparent 2013-12-12 15:46:27

@vhars, you have a point. But the other side of looking at it is also that in big schools among more students, it is better for him to mingle with more students, you also get a better sense of where your kid stand in terms of performance. There are pros & cons both, but this is my thought..
