Overall, I'm happy with the school and my daughter has settled down alright in the school. I like that the teachers handle every kid with care and softness, importantly, given that my daughter is a sensitive kid. The school has only CBSE syllabus. Infrastructure, transport facility, playground etc is good. There is regular homework assigned but I still don't feel it is too rigour-oriented, which is okay given that my daughter is still only 2nd class.
I haven't visited Rockwell but it seems to have quite a good infrastructure. Glendale - I know is very expensive but I didn't feel a professional environment when I visited it.
Hope this helps
Thanks a lot for taking time to reply. This is very helpful.
Try 'The Sriram school' or global edge.
Phoenix greens is overcrowded now.
And what appears good that doesn't mean it's good.
Can someone pls give the fee structure ?I am looking for admission into grade 1.
Good info Vamshi, I am also exploring same(5th grade and pp1), talking to schools in kokapet area... can we connect?
Hi there -
Yep, I can help with feedback on PG school, as my daughter studies there.
Thanks Vamshi. In general, schools create hype in admission process and ask you to register sooner by paying the admission fee, but just wondering about late comers like me, we will not be in Hyd until May15th and that's putting us too close to the schools start date and leaves us with less options.
Is there any set start date June 1st or 7th for all the schools or every one goes with their own date?
Generally, the schools have an admission window around Dec-Jan to fill the vacancies. However, we were still able to find a decent school during mid-term. It may be likewise for you.
When we enrolled our kids to this school, there was so much of expectation from this school. Times of India ranked this as Number 3 in this area. I personally did not find anything great from school in terms of academics or extra curricular activity. They do have a decent play ground but the games are more focused around boys and very less focus on girls.
Phoenix Green is overhyped and they have not even put the 10th results out. We have been hearing they had a bad result last year and they refused to let it out to parents or to the teachers. It is simple demand/supply. With so many apartments coming around this area they feel they will be able to fill the seats without any issues. When government came up with a rule that there should not be any donation 2-3 years back, they added the donation to the fees. This was a very clever move by the management. With 10% hike year over year, they were able to make more money than what they were getting earlier.
In short higher fees does not give better education. I would suggest getting feedback on 1. attrition rate of teachers 2. How they have done consistently with 10th results 3. What extra curricular activities are part of the school 4. Compare the fees with other schools in the area(if there is a 10% increase every year u will end paying more than 3 lakh by the time kid comes to 9/10)
My son studies in Phoenix Greens, Kokapet. My experience with school so far is excellent in all aspects. Fee is little higher, but quality of education provided & discipline in school is very good.
Tution fee - 135000/-
Food - 36k (optional)
Transportation - 30k to 36k based on distance (optional)
