This is a nice descriptive information about Waldorf method. I would like to know the fee structure of Sloka school for LKG.
My Son is having ADHD and he is going to Little Flower High Abids and he is in class I. The main problem here is there only focus on education with almost every day with exams and test which is making it difficult for him to cop up with the studies.
I would like to know whether Waldorf system of education will be helpful for him or should i look for other way of teaching. Which school will be best for a child suffering from ADHD.
I would like to know whether you have joined your kid in sloka waldorf school.
I am also researching on this waldorf education to join my kid. Please let me know your view on this. If you have dropped, please mention the reason.
Thank you so much in advance.
I would like to know if your kids are still studying in sloka.if at all, how is it now?
Could you please provide current fee structure in sloka?
Can waldorf students compete with Othery corporate kids???
Do you have any examples who is doing well in colleges??
Could you please respond to my questions asap so that it will be helpful for me to take decision.
Thank you so much.
we are planning to shift to PEBL city and so looking for a good school nearby for my 3 yr old daughter. she is now studying nursery. we are thinking of sloka and srinidhi. can anyone help me with the fee structure and other details.
I dont know bout sloka....looking for fee structure myself.
I did find out about srinidhi from a friend. For PP2/UKG they are charging around 70,000 admission+1.5lk annual fee + 50,000 transport. Fee hike of 10% per annum which might go upto 15% till 12th grade.
I did the math and decided I could never afford it for my two kids.
Have to see how sloka charges.
Thank you for the information pooja. I enquired with sreenidhi and also sloka. Even sloka's fee structure is also very high. 1 lakh admission fee and then fee in two terms of 44000 each. In addition to this food charges and then books and all. Then transportation is additional. We choose shriram montessori for our daughter.
hi sristaya ....how is shriram montessori school..please let me know about fees structure and where it is located. how good they are at curriculum and extra curricular. Thanks in advance
Hello priya shriram montessori is in jubilee hills. I got good reviews on that school and also personally visited it twice before joining my daughter in that school. Fee structure is as follows for toddlers and primary
Admission fee _ 50,000 one time
Security deposit _ 15,000 refundable n one time
Monthly fee_ 5500
Building fund_ 10000
Hi Srisatya, could you please let us know if by any chance you got some feedback on elementary part of sriram, 1st to 5th grade is located in kovuri hills I guess, have you been to that branch?
i dint find it convincing for elementary.
please share your feedback!
Am looking for admission to my kid for grade 1. She currently goes to a Montessori in madhapur. Since you are also planning for elementary in Waldorf or Montessori want to know from you as how will they cope up going ahead. If we have to move them to regular school at any point in future will they be able to cope up. My child is very calm and mild. She is sensitive. I am not sure continuing her in such environment will she be the same. In current world, I feel they need to be little bold etc. Is this environment more of making them like this. She kind of not goes to kids outside even if one of them had been harsh to her only once ðŸ˜. Am very confused. Any suggestions is highly appreciated. Tx
Can someone suggest on this?
I am very much confused as I in search of un-school concept schools in Hyderabad. Please suggest me good schools which have more of co-curricular activities, games, arts, etc aspects where kids are not pressurized by academics alone.
Heres my 2 cents, again, its my personal views and experiences and may vary with others and their situations. My daughter went to sloka till pp2 and I moved her to indus junior in jubilee.
These the list of
Why I chose waldorf/sloka
1) I did extensive research on Waldorf and his reasons to come up with this system which was back in WW11. The waldorf method is a purely teacher driven, teachers understanding of the kids and her approach towards to the concepts and subjects.
2) The system is very philosphical, and sensorial which is very good.
3) My daughter is left brainy, introvert and she thrives on logic and math. Hence picked waldorf cause I wanted to enhance social and creative side of hers.
Why I moved her out
1) The syllabus what they cover in the schools is a black box, there is no circulum handed to parents
2) The teachers and parents are like a cult, its their way or highway. I didnt find them open to suggestions and changes in the ciriculum. The same teacher goes till 7th class. If the teacher is not good, it will be a disaster.
3) Teachings of christian/jain/or God stories to teach them concepts was not acceptable to be. Religion and God other should be out of school. Its for the kids discover those on their own as they grow.
4) Mainly I found the communication skills of a 6,7 standard is pretty bad. These days its very important to have those later in life.
5) Lastly if a kid is not interested in something, say reading, they donot put effort to create interest in it. Rather they say, he/she will do it, when he/she feels like.
My daughter adjusted well in Indus the first day and she just loves going to it, which honestly I missed it in sloka. She loves the challenges here at indus. It took her almost 1.5 years to catch up on english and math. but it wasnt a issue.
I know pass outs from abhaya, vidhyaranya, sloka. Distinctly thats common in them is that these kids know more about themselves their likes dislikes. And I think this can be achieved at home via parenting, rather than via schooling. Schooling is place to learn and rise.
@misspursue, how is indus school? Till which class, does Indus junior jubliee hills has? I know that the main campus is very far..
Can someone give me the address for shriram montessori. Loozed up just dial. ..phone number is wrongly listed.
Hi Madhuri / Kala / Indralok and other parents who shared their valuable inputs here are much appreciated.
As few years passed by since you have shared these inputs - as your kids might have crossed few grades higher by now at Sloka , can you please also share your views and progress in recent years.
Like how has it been with these years with Sloka , What changes you are noticing in children, any shortfalls you noticed which needs to be taken care of my parents outside school or any other additional inputs you can share - will be very helpful .
Specially about the point touched up on by Indralok "Sloka needs a kid to have 6 years completed for 1st Grade which is viewed as one year wasted" - I would like to know more about pros and cons of this scenario.
May I know the current fee structure of Waldorf schools in India? I just need a rough idea as to how much do they charge.
Could you share the current fee structure of Shloka?
1.25 is admission fee n Arund a lakh is per person year.
Hi All, my kids are into CBSE 4, LKG. Now we are thinking about Sloka.
Is it right step to change to Sloka at this point? I mean into 5,UKG?
Thanks all in advance...
