Even i want to know abt DAV public school, miyapur.. can somebody please help me with the info on how the environment is and their teaching methodology etc. for LKG
Hi Bindu and LavanyaB,
My daughter is in Std.1-DAV Miyapur branch. The school is good but there are some other problems also like-no proper ground and class rooms are not so clean ..specially the desks, wash rooms. When we asked the teacher she said they do clean everyday.Extra curricular activities are not much focussed but yes ..shlokas and all are taught well. The way of teaching is also not so bad. This is the first year of my daughter in DAV.
Hi Bindu and Lavanya,
My son is also studying in DAV, Miyapur. Initailly i was apprehensive about the school but now i feel it is fine..The building structure is coming up really fast and i guess the ground will also fall in place...they are taking time...The prinicipal is really good and efficient. They might be having some untrained teachers but i am sure the school authorities will set them right or repalce them very soon. They do not pressurize the children but ofcourse keep them engaged and it is really good that they teach them a lot of slokas....
My child is also a student of Matrusri DAVPS Miyapur.I admitted my child last year. The school is quite fine.My child has improved his communiation skills after joining that school only. They are in the processof expansion. But not sure about the admissions in the next year.Usually they send out a circular to parents in November regarding admissions. You can contact the school office for details.040-64644864,040-64644865
My kids are studying in this school. Teaching methods are not good. They are not putting any concentration in individual students. They don't correct spelling mistakes even in units also. They don't conduct CTs regularly. I have brought up all these to principal, but no use. Most of the parents have the same impression.
Can anybody share me the latest feedback of this school. How are they doing now?How is the staff/teaching and other information?.Any information on schools near chandanagar,Hyderbad.. area
Hi.. I need feedback about DAV kuktpally n miyapur. As it seems u people r with this school from couple of years
Could you please share the latest feedback about Matrusri DAV? How are the teachers and their teaching methodology? General facilities and overall child development?
My husband happened to talk to couple of parents last week at DAV Miyapur. They seem to be quiet happy. Even my neighbour's kid is studying 5th std there.. she is also happy with Academics and Communication. She said that the kid has to be choose one extra curricular activity (in sports / music / dance i think) not so sure about this. the kid will be trained in that line of specialization.
My concern is about the extra curricular activities.. the parents whom my husband spoke..they said that whatever is required at each stage, they are being done although it might not be same as the other schools like Silveroaks, Sentia etc where importance for these activities seem to be more!
But parents seem to be happy with the child's development at DAV Miyapur.
Have you applied for DAV? If so, which standard?
I am getting transferred to Hyderabad in March, 2016 and would like to know about admission at DAV Miyapur for my son in class V and daughter in PPII.
Is it easy to get admission and please let me know the fee structure for this school too.
Done joining your kids in DAV Miyapur?? Please share your reviews when possible..
Hi Divya02 / devmish,
Did you join your kid to DAV Miyapur?
Can you provide some info about this school in detail on sports activities and 2nd or 3rd language taught?
Got the below info on Matrusri dav school, Miyapur from one of my friend. Posting for the benefit of those needful!
Dear parent, On scrutinizing the TC proformas of staying in / leaving the school for the next academic session, we have found that a few vacancies have arisen in classes UKG and I. You may come to school on the 20th and 21st of January 2017 and drop your request letters in to these classes. Request for admission into other classes will also be accepted on the 20th and 21st of January 2017,but no assurance of Registration / Admissions can be given right now.
I went to the school today (20th Jan 17) for UKG Admission, and have filled the request letter to the DAV, Miyapur. There first priority is siblings, then Matrusri nagar society property (flat or house) owners, then Tenants of Matrusri nagar, then Miyapur area residents.
They are not charging any amount for the requests we are putting in. (The request letter too is in a format and needs documents like Birth certificate copy, current school proof (either fee receipt copy or school ID proof copy).
They has verbally informed that after 20 days they will call the suitable candidates for further process. For Further process they have not informed any thing.
I have heard from some school people that they are expecting just 6-7 seats in DAV. Hence I m not in much hope, and suggest others not to reply just on this school.
For fee its just news that 60k is admission fee and 40k is annual fee (Term fee). Means in total we will be charged 1 lac first year and 2nd year onwards appox 40k.
It was heavy rush in morning (20th Jan 17) and unorganized pattern of issuing the request letters. If any one is planning to go tomorrow i.e. 21st Jan. Please go early say at 7-8am.
Guys if someone have some other info and suggest me other school than this, please share. I am new to hyderabad (this is just 3rd week here). Your inputs will help me to settle here.
Joined my kid last year in 3rd standard after lot of effort for 2 years, but now regreting for my decision to go to this school for the following reasons.
1. They maintain a special cult all the time and communication is only one way, we cannot communicate anything
2. They give plenty of home work everyday and if your kid failed to complete or absent for few days, a very funny system that any one of the parent should go to the school, sit there and get a notes book from someother kid and finish your kids homework there itself, which looked very awkward to me.
3. English language proficiency is very poor with teachers, so my kid got less marks then i approached class teacher and told her. Then she told me very surprisingly that the parents should put more efforts to make the kid learn the language. If this is the case why should i join my kid in a school at all
4. No periodic CTs conducted. No personal attention on the kid based on their level of understanding
5. Its nightmare to get the appointment to speak to principal, we need to wait like a person waiting outside a ministers chamber for his personal works
6. Others subjects teachers also not that trained in subject and no proper english
7. Their 10th standard result is very poor this year
only good thing is that they follow some indian culture and slokas and others
But somehow its really disappointing and regretting for my decision and have to think about something by next year
