I have been going through many quries on best schools and the replies. I was surprised to not see HPS referred anywhere. Why?? Both of my kids study there. I can bet its the the best school one can afford. Ofcourse my son is in 5th class and will move to midschool next year. His journey till now was very wonderful and encouraging. Teachers so lovely.. They are patient enough to listen to parents and answer them. They are always there to help and solve the issues. I dont to refer to a missionary school where my daughter was sent in LKG and UKG was humiliated  and harassed for simple childish things like talking, not doing homework, making stand outside whole day for not bringing notebooks. Why??Those teachers blame parents too..

Now my daughter is in HPS 2nd class. She is confident enjoys going to school. Loves to play, enjoys music.

HPS provides all the required amenities for a child to grow well. A few rich spoilt brats who can exist anywhere should not make one miss such a school. Competition between kids is good, which motivates students to perform better. Whatelse does a child need?

From parent's angle too, Two times snacks with milk once in the morning and once in the evening with fruits and a good proeinous lunch with Rajma, chole eggs and chicken curries aloo curriespaneer curries my kids enjoy them..Fees charged for all the facilities is very reasonable.

So please all those who are in search of good school visit the school and ask few parents and then decide.

Hi Deepalu,

Good to read your comments. My son is presently studying in Nursery (in Mumbai), and I intend to move him to the next class, preferrably with HPS. Could you also help, answer these queries:

1. Does HPS give admission to people from outside AP?

2. What is the fees structure like?

3. When does the admission process start?

Any comments/views would be very helpful.

Deepalu 2011-08-19 21:42:15

Classes exist from  1st to 10 th . No LKG and UKG. Admissions will be by lottery system and the notification will be released around november.Fee would be 40,000 to 50,000. including books and food.

We just relocated to Hyd and its my dream to get admission for my son in HPS

1. I heard that there are incidents of floating drugs in schools by watchmens / peons etc., also there are some local vendors near by HPS supplies this weeds. since you're parent of two who are studying in HPS, you might come across the facts about this, can you please clarify..!

2. I'm trying admission for my son in HPS for class - I, but as I read that admissions are on lottery basis, I lost hopes..! what are the chances of getting admission, do we require any hi end recommendation from politicians etc

Thanks & Regards

Because its HPS it is being known ..It happens everywhere. I dont say that school management has no responsibility.. Parents play an important role in moulding child. If a parent gives huge pocket money irrationally, do you expect children would donate in charity. No. As far as I know situations are changing there too. The prsent school Principal is a good chap. He is trying to improvise the systems there. Now you will get an SMS if your ward doesnt attend school by 10 am.. No student is being let out. I think we cannot blame institution for what all happens... I like the co-curricular activities , various competitions being conducted there. Teachers are very co-operative. Atleast till 6th or 7th it is 100% safe and good. There is a PTA association. We parents need to actively participate in them and can give our suggestions.

Totally agree with deepalu...am an alumnus of HPS, tough due to travelling constraints my kids are schooling nearer home. The fact of the matter is there is a chance for any kid to go bad in any place if placed in notorious company. My advice is, keep kids disciplined and happy at home...they will not succumb to any temptation.Keep channels of communication open with them. HPS offers a lot to the kids in terms of infrastructure, quality teaching and the absolute best in sports activities. I really regret that I will not be able to school my kids there. The chance for the kid to get into shady situations is probably after middle school...ie after 8th stnd. Hence, if you could mould them by then....it is only plain sailing from there....goodluck!!1

Hi NMRK, Pl give him some time.... Try to find out from him. Ask him casually about the school , his friends n teachers. I think, you should be able to make out from his talks.
At times, kids take more time to settle when they don't have friends. Once he makes good friends n starts knowing everybody in the class, he will enjoy going to the school.

Don't worry. It's a good school. If possible, meet his class teacher
and express your concern.

NMRK 2012-04-08 22:30:01

thanks Mickey for writing.. yes will definately give him time to settle.. actually his pre-school was best of its kind.. & has foster him beautifully.. he's missing his old friendz & teachers.

Wht i didnt like --the other day his present class teacher( of HPS) asked him why u left your pre-school & joined here.. he came home & told me this.. i felt its litte weird to ask this ques frm 5yrs old... whn u seeing him uncomfortable.

Have great expectations from Hps.. hope it gives my child - a strong foundation..

once again thanks for writing

I was trying to look for a parent who was in the waiting list- lucky I found you!

I need some information about lottery system held in HPS. My daughter is placed in waiting list- her number being in 70's. I am very desperate to know her chance of getting admission in HPS(as I need to confirm her admission in another school shortly)

I also went down the school today but the security people said they strictly have no permission to let people in the school regarding admission enquiry, they want me to wait until the medical is done- which I can not! one of the security man said around first 10 students have chance to get admission, not others! Other said last year 90th waitlisted got the seat!  difficult to believe them.

called to school- they said all the waitlisted students have chance, nothing can be said until the medical test.

please let me know if you have any idea about this or if you know someone who was in waiting list last 2 years who could advice on this...

awating reply

hi Deepalu,

Can you please give some insight on your observation on HPS Begumpet as a parent of 7th grader now(I guess)

I am planning to join my daughter in 5th grade. Please let me know if its going to be a good decision as she will spend higher secondary which is very important.

I everyone, I am a student who just passed out from HPS. It's an honor for me to say I passed out from HPS. That place has magic filled in it. There is no other place like that. Wish I could go back. There is no such thing as drugs . It's just a rumour . I know students from
Gitanjali and they drink, smoke and do drugs.they have no infrastructure and no proper amenities. On the other hand HPS has smart class, amazing infrastructure and student friendly faculty. HPS is the place to be. HPS has produced many CEOs  and will keep producing! Once an eagle, always and eagle!

I have no idea about ramanthapur branch

 Former member 2016-12-16 21:16:05

Both had the same dates to issue n submit forms. Overall process is same except curriculum. Management may b different, don't know when ramanathpur results will b out. The office staff are unhostile n doesn't answer n put the phone off each time I ask about the result dates.
