Hi,

I have a 2 and a half year old son, and I'm looking to put him in a preschool that will lead him directly to big school next year, when he's ready. Wanted to know if anyone here has a review of Shikshantar in Gurgaon. Would appreciate any reviews you have or have heard.

Thanks!

Manika

shikshantar is a very good school. i was thinking of putting my child there as well but since it was midterm already when we came to gurgaon, so i couldnt. anyways, its a new school, and most importantly, they dont put any presuure on children. Absolutely nothing, i have a friend whose child is in third standard and she says that when God made working mothers, they just helped them by making such schools. its the students call for them, always.

The school is excellent.  It it children's oriented.  Child learns to enjoy learning for the sake of learning initially in the primary school years.  Once the joy of learning is firmly established, they are slowly guided towards assessments in the middle school and then gently initiated into the rigour needed in the high school before the board exams.  The progression is very slow and the child never feels it.

Lots of planning and thought goes into the curriculum and it is an excellent school if you have an overall personality grooming for your child in mind.

shikshantar grading and standards have deteriorated now. We put our daughter in nursery and now have to be taken out after one month due to pathetic transport department and their unsafe ,old limited transport fleet which has limited reach to ggn places. There teachers r just trying to do all activities with no focus on well being of kids our daughter has not eaten anything in 1 month in school as teachers only used to give 10 mins to complete there food as they have to co.plete all actoviti
