hi all,

ever since i switched from 2 burner stove to a 4 burner one and from a traditional kitchen to a modular one(both happened simultaneously), my gas cylinder gets empty in 1.5 months, instead of the regular 3 months. i feel that there is still some gas left in the cylinder, but the cylinder-delivery man told me nothing can be done about it as 4 burner and modular kitchen cause a lot of gas wastage..i would like you to give yr valuable opinion on this.

thanks in advance!

 Hi,

wait for a few more occasions, if you feel that the cylinder empties in and around the same time you can check. First check with the company who supplied the burner for leaks. The efficiency of the new burner also needs to be checked. Use the right size of vessel suited for each burner. A large flame licking the sides of the vessel is of no great help.

Hi  Aanchal,

I agree with Sandeepr. I have also got a new 4 burner cum modular kitchen. But i am happy with the performance. There has not been much of difference. Infact the new burner stove are qualified to be causing less wastage of gas as that compared to the older version of gas stove. I note cooking on the new burner takes a few more minutes more. But seems to fine even though.
