Can anyone give me the recipe for eggless cake? I do not have a microwave, hence pls let me know the proc by using pressure cooker

Here is the recipe fr eggless cake..already posted it in PT earlier..bt since u need it,posting it again..Hope u'll enjoy..:)

 "Eggless Cake in Pressure Cooker "

(no idea abt adding egg as i alwys make eggless cake)


Maida - 1n1/2 cup

Bakin Soda - 1 teaspoon

Milk - 1 cup

Sugar (Powdered) - 1 cup

Refined oil /plain butter - 1 cup (I prefer refined oil)

Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon..


Batter preparation-

Fst mix oil n sugar together n stir them pretty hard so the mixture bcum light n smooth.

Now mix maida n bakin powder n sieve it to avoid any lump.

Nw add maida mixture with oil n sugar mixture slowly (in a big container).Slowly add milk in it n blend it well (u cn do it with spoon itself).

Ths mixture wil look soft n fluffy,n we wil find air bubble in ths batter too.

Add vanilla essence n again blend the batter.

Cake preparation..

Grease bakin tin(bakin tin sud b of aluminium)with oil n sprinkle the tin with maida throughly n evenly...

Pour the cake batter in ths greased  tin.

Heat the cooker ob high flame fr 2 min(ths cooker's diameter sud b more thn the diameter of bakin tin.thn only bakin tin wil fit into pressure cooker on stove).

Nw put the bakin tin containin cake batter inside the cooker .(no water inside)..

Close the cooker lid n "dnt put whistle" on it.

Lower the flame frm high to lown let it cook fr 40-45 minutes..

Thn swithch offthe stove.dnt open lid immidiately..

Open lid after 10 min..

After sum time put it upside down on a plate n enjoy the smooth cake..

Hi  ,

Can some one pls tell me sponge cake (with egg) receipe ( baking using OTG).

I tried few times at home. always geeting the cake as hard. do not know the reason.

how much time do we have to whip the eggs? how much time we have to bake the cake/batter in OTG?

what is teh egges and maida ratio to be used?

200g/ 1 cup unsalted butter

100g / 1 cup plain flour (all purpose flour/ maida). If you are using self raising

flour don't use baking powder

200g  / 1 cup caster sugar or grind the sugar to a fine powder in the mixie

4 eggs

1 teaspoon baking powder (not needed if you're using self raising flour)

5ml/1 tsp vanilla essence / extract

Method :

whisk together the flour and the baking powder in a bowl and keep it aside. 

In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy (it

will look glossy and light and porous).. Add the vanilla essence.

Gradually add the eggs and beat well after each addition. 

Fold in the flour gradually into the batter. but no beating or stirring. 

(how to do folding : using the spatula, from the outside of the cake mixture,

make a clockwise scoop and cut through the cake mixture. Continue to do it till

you get a smooth mixture)

Preheat the oven at 180 deg C, Pour the mixture in the greased cake

pan and bake for 35 to 40 min or insert a tooth pick or skewer to see if it

comes out clean. Take out the pan and allow it to cool for 10 min. Invert

the pan on the wire rack to take the cake out.
